Wonderful to have a park like this dedicated to the beautiful tortoises. They are free to roam around and not afraid of people. Great job to the staff giving such good care.

Amazing place, unique in the world.
It becomes very expensive to move around the islands. And locals have different prices for turists, particularly if you are a gringo (anyone outside South America). I wish they were more severe against turists who do not respect nature and the animals

What an amazing experience! Everything is kept very clean and safety for the animals and the environment is priority. Wonderful guides lead the tours and are very knowledgeable. People are very friendly and towns are safe. Navigation between island can be rough depending on sea conditions.

Cannot say enough about San Cristobal island (quiet and more low key) as well as the overall conservation practices, commitment to the environment, their passion for all the animals/mammals throughout all the Galapagos islands.

To get the most out of the islands, I highly recommend getting a guide and don't book every waking moment with something. We experienced fantastic snorkeling, diving, restaurants, amazing educational discussions on the different species, we discussed the culture, the history of the Galapagos and even went to a coffee farm on Santa Cruz. FYI Santa Cruz is definitely more touristy than San Cristobal.

Should you ever need a guide Liam Arismendi is not just good .. he's exceptional. Liam works for the Galapagos National Park Services and also owns Republic Brewing Company. GREAT Beer too!!!

This has to be one of the best tourist destinations on Earth! We did a great deal of research while waiting three years for our visit but nothing can fully prepare you for the stunning beauty of the Galapagos Islands. We enjoyed a week on our ship visiting many islands and three towns. The beaches were pristine, the skies and sea were amazing. For a naturalist, there is so much to see and learn from unique birds to gorgeous fish, turtles to sharks and of course the giant tortoise. It was hard to leave and I hope I am lucky enough to return.

Incredible islands with awesome wildlife. Everything is pretty expensive. You need to know that you will spend a lot of money, even if you want to make your trip to this place budget.

Breathtaking adventure full of endemic and unique species to explore!! Loved it and will be back to check out other islands.
If you like animals and swimming, you cant miss this place!
To get the full experience in the water, you should get a scuba diving lisence, otherwise snorkel and diving (beginner level) should be enough for the first time!

One of the most amazing places I've ever been. A place where you can see how wild life behaves in 13 remote island 600miles away from mainland...iguanas that can swim, birds that cannot fly, penguins swimming with sea lions...SPEECHLESS!

There simply aren't enough words to describe how incredible this place is. It's simply spectacular. We had the time of our lives when we we're here for two weeks... We took a cruise around the islands for 8 days and only saw a fraction of what there is to see, meaning that we will HAVE to return one day. The wildlife is phenomenal, I spent two weeks pretending I was David Attenborough. If you have to go anywhere in the world, this is the place!!

Quite possibly the most beautiful natural wonder of the world!! From the flora and fauna, to a multitude of soft sand beaches and clear water affording wonderful snorkeling opportunities, enough cannot be said about the experience you will have here. Hands down, the most unique and extraordinary travel experience I have had. The most amazing thing is that the animals and birds here really have no fear of humans, so it is an ideal locale to study them up close and personal. A once in a lifetime experience, but I am planning on returning here for many more adventures!

I hardly need to say, this is one of the world's great national parks and I was very taken with how strictly they enforce rules and regulations to ensure the 97% of the islands that are pristine remain that way. Even the townsfolk appeared to live in harmony with the animals and respect boundaries. The scenery, wildlife, history and geology are, not unexpectedly, breathtaking

Absolutely amazing place. Violent scenery, deep blue oceans and endemic species make this place spectacular.
We did a seven day cruise around the islands and every day was memorable.
We went for hikes on the islands and zodiac cruises but for me, undoubtedly the highlight was snorkeling.
During our snorkeling outings we saw many, many turtles. The bonus was that the turtles were very calm and relaxed so did not leave the area. At times they actually approached me. We also saw a fee sea lions in the water. A couple were playful swimming in between the snorklers.
There were many fishes and some big schools of fish, and millions of small fish and baby jellyfish type organisms (which do not sting). Marine iguanas were plentiful on the shores.
From a birding perspective we saw pelicans, frigate birds and of course the boobies. On land many finches and mockingbirds made famous by Charles Darwin.
This really was a spectacular 7 day trip. Really amazing snorkelling and I would definitely recommend to nature lovers.

Must see for anyone with a degree in in science. Fascinating trip to see everything from the Blue footed Boobie to land iguanas. And of course the tortoises. I like knowing the place where Darwin developed his theories. It will forever be a special group of islands.

Never going to be a cheap option, but nothing compares. Mutual respect between humans and animals.

A world treasure! This was the trip of a lifetime for me as a diver, and as an environmentalist it is good to see Ecuador taking strong steps to claw back from centuries of exploitation. This is a truly unique and impactful place and deserves global support.

The islands are amazing with tons of hiking, nature, animals, environment education, water. I think the only down side to our entire trip is the want of a bathroom at some locations.

This is a great place to visit, huge turtles everywhere and the food is brilliant. The staff were knowledgable and you can get a stamp in your passport for visiting
