Delano Hotel, Bahir Dar

Delano Hotel is exceptionally one of the best Hotel in Bahirdar City, Ethiopia. I always stay at Delano Hotel till i get back to USA with the customer service beyond and above. The food is very delicious with both local and international food services delivered to all customers . The Historic beach side city Bahirdar is the home city of one of the largest lake in Africa named Lake Tana and the largest river in the world named Blue Nile River. Ordering fish menu would be highly recommended .The hotel employees are very welcoming with infectious smile and great hospitality. I strongly recommend this hotel for anyone who plans to visit and stay in the city of bahirdar.

Their hospitality and the treatment for the guest is amazing, the hotel has very clean rooms with good shower, the wifi is fast. their food test good.

Wonderful experience at the Delano. We'd been traveling around Northern Ethiopia for almost a week and this hotel was our last stop before returning to Addis. The hotel was clean, modern, rooms had AC, room safes, super comfy soft beds, great wifi and a decent restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and warm. Would definitely stay again when in Bahirdar.

We stayed at Delano for 2 weeks for my wife's medical mission trip. The people were fantastic and very helpful. Immediately when we arrived, Ethiopian airlines didnt have our luggage yet, but the hotel ppl drove us to the place first and then they went back to the airport to get it. We had a couple tours that were arranged by Getaneh that were very nice to Lake Tana and Blue Nile Falls. It was relaxing to not have to worry about setting this up ourselves. It ended up being about $27 a night for the off season room we had, and that's a very good deal, as some Ethiopian hotels will try to rip you off and charge you Faranjii prices. Not Delano, they are very honest. Our maid was very diligent every day making sure the room was clean, the doorman was super nice and helpful, Getaneh showed me around the city, the manager always asked us if we wanted more breakfast (it was included), and everyone else made us feel at home. I highly recommend Delano, especially for business travelers.

We stayed just 2 nights here, but we would love to have stayed longer. The airport collection was perfect and gave us a great first impression. All the staff are so very friendly and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

If you're in Bahir Dar you must stay here. Modern, clean, fantastic staff and service -all at an incredibly low price. I have very rarely seen such quality anywhere.
