Great camping, 3600 for 2 adults, didnt use electricity. Communal area warm, has 3 tables and a kitchen - has minimum kitchen utensils. Bathroom very clean, has 2 showers that cost 300isk every 3min. Has a great restaurant just around the corner. We saw the most amazing northern lights at these camping site. A lot of parking space.

Kirkjubaer II is a well kept, well appointed, well heated and comfortable campsite in a great location for exploring the local area.
The only campsite that I stayed at on the South coast at which it felt customers were actually welcome. Everywhere else barely hid their distain.
Great kitchen area, with slightly demented induction hobs, plenty of kitchenware and a charging bank for electronic devices. WiFi also included. Lots of nice touches that make you feel like someone has put some thought into making this place accommodating.
Showers are 60ISK for 5 mins, which seems a bit steep, but they are well kept, as is the theme of this place. A countdown keeps you informed of time remaining, so you won't be left with shampoo in your eyes.
Check out the slanty waterfall nearby.

My favourite campsite so far. Sheltered away from main road, had a very quiet peaceful rest here. Very friendly service. The facilities are great and clean and lots of power sockets to recharge in the kitchen. You pay extra 300kr for shower which is timed to 5 min but showers are clean and private.

Great place with a friendly welcome. Has a laundry and showers (coin operated) plus an indoor area for preparing food and eating. Clean facilities and dedicated spots for campers. There are sheltered (roofed) areas outside plus BBQs that you can borrow. Great value 😊

I stayed here one night in my campervan on my way to the glacier lagoon. This was my favorite campground I stayed in Iceland. Very quiet, nice scenery, clean and abundant facilities. Showers were extra though and you only get 3 minutes. You can tell the owner takes pride in his campground.

A very well equipped and professional campsite with a lot of pitches suitable for all sorts of vehicle or tent size. The facilities were very well maintained and looked after, with lots of toilets, but the kitchen can get busy. The showers are extra but well worth it!

Camped for one night in this location at the beginning of June. Was very happy with the selection as it had all that was needed. The acces was not expensive compared to other camping sites in Iceland. Had to pay for the shower separately, but it was not a big deal. Bathrooms and showers were clean and tidy. The surroundings are very nice and we had a pleasant view from our camper van.

great campsite, quiet, enough space.
has a common room/kitchen (which was busy but there is sinks to clean outside) and enough space in the bathroom (5 toilets & 2 showers)
you have to pay 300isk for the shower (you get 3 minutes, can get more in addition & you need 50isk coins which you can change at the reception)
there is free wifi which even reached our camper
+ there is a small shop and a restaurant/café very close by which we enjoyed :)

Very nice camping, with kitchen, showers and toilets. In the kitchen there are many sockets where you can charge your electronic devices and sit. Just two showers in the female bathroom, but there was never a queue. Showers are not included in the price, you have to buy tokens at the reception. About 6 female toilets and it was enough. I strongly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Due decided to camp here as the roads were closed due to the crazy weather. The person in the front desk was really friendly.

Location was within town. Clean facilities. Showers are private.

Me and my partner stayed at 4 campsites in Iceland in a camper van, this was clearly the best and our favourite, so we stayed 2 nights while visiting Glaciers and Vik.

Really clean, really warm, and a homely feel to it. Communal area was clean and heated and had good facilities which people seemed to respect compared to other sites we stayed at.
Site is away from the road so felt more secluded. Not too busy either. Quiet.

The bathroom/shower area was great as it was well heated and really clean, which was good during a winters night.
The shower required 6 of the 50 coins for 5 minutes of shower time which was powerful and hot, cannot seem to control temperature though.

Nice location with access to a small supermarket, nearby fuel station, and had a back drop of mountains hills. Saw aurora here too.

Would definitely go back here again.

Stayed here one night in a small Motorhome. Plenty of space with electrical connections. It was nice and quiet. Restroom facilities were clean and conveniently located, but seemed a tad crowded in the morning. We didn’t use the kitchen area or showers so can’t comment on that. They had a place to dump black tank, but no place to dispose of grey water that we could find.

One of the best campsite we stayed in Iceland. 300 for shower for 5 min, but it was super clean and well organized. 3 sinks and 3 toilets. The kitchen is small but well equipped! Overall - great place to stay!

Favorite campground we stayed in! Definitely park in the big grass area below the mountain, made for an amazing place to wake up to. Bathrooms and showers were good. There's a lovely little waterfall you can walk to. Can't beat the view!

The best campground so far in iceland. Clean spotless showers and toilets. Lucky the gate closes at 8.pm So no latecomers or people who try to sneek in. Washer/Dryer facilities Kitchen and Room are very nice. I don't know what to complain.
Thank you for keeping this place so tidy so we can keep it as well. Hopefully it will remain like this.

We had a fantastic experience here. This place has all the amenities and is much cleaner and prettier than other campsites in the South. The showers are paid, but very clean, nice, and warm. This is well worth stopping at compared to the skogafoss campsite or the site down the road.

Great camping ground with kitchen to cook, 3 tables and multiple chairs to eat, drink and microwave to heat us anything you want. Clean toilets and 2 showers. Entrance 1750Kr/person if I remember correctly that is paid at the entrance in, plus shower (300Kr/person) if you want One of the more cleaner campsite I have been to so far & overall a pleasant place!

Very nice campsite. Clean showers and bathrooms, kitchen available. 2 private showers in each bathroom that charge 300 kr for 5 minutes. Coins can be obtained on check-in. There is a booth at the entrance to pay. If you are not to the camp site by 22:00 you will be unable to get in. We paid around 3200 kr for two people.

Great place to stay. It is a little and cozy campsite.
We were there in spring.
The camping has complete facilities. The kitchen has everything you need. Showers are not included but is not expensive and as shower as toilets are very clean. We pay for 15 minutes in shower but we only use 5 minutes each, so we recommend not to pay more for that.
We highly recommend this place.

Really liked this campsite. Clean and lots of space. Limited electric hook ups but many toilets and clean showers. You pay 600isk for the shower and it’s 3min of hot water but it was very clean and nice.

Laundry service and Wi-Fi available here, too.
