Farmhouse Lodge

We stayed for two nights in a Deluxe Double Room and were extremely impressed, it was our favourite stay in Iceland due to how well the room was designed, it felt like a luxury hotel.

It was also only a 15 minute drive away from Vik and a perfect stop off if you are doing the ring road.

We didn’t have breakfast but the view from the reception building where the breakfast takes place was really relaxing.

We also weren’t aware of the cooking facilities/communal area until we arrived which were very useful. There is a large shared fridge located in there and we also used the microwave, there were plenty of tables and seats to have dinner.

Very lovely place to stay! The room was nice and spacious, the sharing space had a nice atmosphere, with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was delicious! The owner was very friendly and recommended us places to visit and eat.

Apart from rooms being a little noisy with other guests (who werent by all means loud) great location, friendly staff. Breakfast was okay, just a little overpriced. Free tea/coffee/biscuits which was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay. Room was lovely and well decorated!
Beds were comfy and we had a coffee machine.

What a beautiful place! We were there for one night and had a great stay. The commonroom and kitchen area was very cozy and the tents were even more amazing. Good thing we had heating in the mattress because it got quite cold during the night, but everything was prepared for it. It is also a great view from the tents, we were lucky with sun and almost no wind which was perfect!

We stumbled upon the Farmhouse by accident (snow storm), and even though they were full, the owner and manager brought us in and welcomed us. The houses and rooms are beautiful, and the staff and the owner take the experience to another level. Their hospitality and kindness are the best I’ve ever experienced.

Beautiful spot not to far from the hub in Vík. I had an amazing view from my room of the sunset and northern lights. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. The place is beautifully decorated and makes me feel cozy. Staff are super friendly. Only downside was my shared bathroom. No shower door so have to be mindful of water splashing everywhere plus sharing the bathroom with others on the main floor above my room.

We had an excellent experience staying at Farmhouse Lodge. Staff was courteous, explaining us things to do around the area and sharing recommendation. Rooms were clean and breakfast was top notch. To top it all, we had an amazing northern lights sighting while staying in the lodge. Highly recommend this business and staff!

The location to everything was perfect. We also loved there breakfast. I needed another pillow and they were very accommodating.

We booked this hotel through Expedia and are very pleased with our stay there.

We had booked a Double Room with Private Bathroom and our room was situated on the lower ground floor below the Reception, with a huge window and door leading out to the open fields.

The room was modern and clean, and it was also very well heated (the floor was heated as well!). The small window can be opened a little for better ventilation (we found out this is the way they do it in Iceland) without compromising the heat generated for the room. Although there were other guests on the same floor, it was so quiet and we had our best sleep after a very tiring day.

The accommodation has a prudent shoes-off policy, where you can leave your muddy shoes at the indoor entrance, before walking through the corridor to your room. We had our bedroom slippers for this purpose.

Breakfast was sufficient and varied, with an assortment of bread/jam/eggs and wonderful coffee. They also have a huge communal fully-equipped kitchen in a separate building across from the Reception building, with free flow of coffee and tea.
Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay there and can highly recommend this delightful place to others.

We stayed in the newly renovated wing of this guesthouse hotel and it was both very well designed and incredibly clean. We slept very well with the blackout curtains and the grounds themselves are very nice. The common areas are very spacious and well maintained as well! The free coffee was great in the morning.

One of the highlights is the incredible service--we hit some roadblocks on our way in and didn't have cell reception to communicate with the front desk. They stayed open after close to help us get our room key and even showed us around the property. It was so kind after such a long day and the girl with the long curly hair is so professional.

I can't speak to the glamping tents because we stayed in a private room/private bath but our experience was phenomenal and I would absolutely stay here again.

Very quiet and cozy hotel located just outside of Vik. The rooms for two with a private bathroom are a great price! Breakfast is a $16 addon but it's worth it, especially given there's not much food around the area anyway. Their freshly baked croissants are delicious. Definitely recommend this place if youre planning on staying in/near Vik.

It's a nice, cosy place. The owner is really friendly. The rooms were nice, a good bed, a lot of space. Nice art on the walls as well

We didn’t check the weather before heading to Vik and then Jokulsarlon. We got stuck in snow and high winds and Inid the farmhouse owner was traveling the roads in his van. He is literally an angel who saved us and he and his wonderful lodge manager made room for us when they were full. The epitome of wonderful humans. The lodge/farm is beautiful and breakfast was great. There aren’t words for how amazing they were to us. ABSOLUTELY BOOK!
Room was great, amenities and hospitality were the best.

The common room are well equipped. The shower are nice. The location is convenient and beautiful.

We can definitely recommend the farmhouse lodge! We arrived late and had to leave early in the morning but our host was very flexible and soooo welcoming. The room and the beds are clean and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast with waffles. Visit the farmhouse lodge, you will not regret it!!! :)

Wow. So worth staying slightly outside Vik for the views, rooms and service here. Manager was fantastic, greeted with fresh coffee and cookies while we checked in. Multiple spacious hangout areas and kitchen/fridge for your use (no real oven though, only a toaster oven which we used for small frozen pizzas for our dinner). Rooms have just been renovated so they're both beautiful and comfortable. Great location for a morning hike to the DC plane wreck!

It was amazing. So friendly staff, always available for helping you. Shared kitchen for all guests available. Free coffee and cookies. Big 'living room' for all guests. Lovely and very, very clean hotel with a farm feeling.
