由指示牌上的資料可見，公元10世紀左右，就已經有愛爾蘭僧侶來這裏興建修道院了，可謂歷史悠久。
遺跡有圍牆圍着，沒有人看守，粗眉仔於是打開鐵閘入去看看。
修道院早已面目全非，只殘留一些從前的石柱石樑，非常滄桑的畫面。
雖然修道院已經消失殆盡，但修道院的地基仍在，勉強可以憑此想像到修道院的規模。
從前冰島是一個沒人想去的苦寒之地，哪會想到今日這裏居然會成為旅遊天堂？

Sajnos az ír bevándorlók által épített kolostorból már gyakorlatilag semmit sem látni. Mindenesetre tudták, hol érdemes ☺!

No much to see but interesting information signs revealing presence if Irish Monks in the area until 1500s and the influence they had in the surroundings.
