Eldhraun Lava Field parking

The largest lava field in Iceland. You actually start seeing this way before you get to the car park and continue to see the moss growth as you drive off for quite a distance.

HUGE lava field covered in carpet moss. Very cool to see and hike through. Try not to step on the love moss, it takes sooo long to regrow.

It was heavily snowing when we got here for a short break. A nice spot.

Guter Rastplatz mit informativen Erklärtafeln zum umgebenden Lavafeld. Anhalten lohnt sich. Es gibt auch eine kleine Aussichtsplattform für das Lavafeld.
