Grand Guesthouse Gardakot

Clean, cute B&B. Friendly host, top-tier breakfast spread. Fresh bread was actually coming out of the oven as we emerged from our comfortable bedroom. Glad to have stayed here twice during our week in Iceland.

Our room was cozy, clean and had a warm atmosphere, the host was nice and friendly and we had a nice chat over the most amazing breakfast I had in a long time: everything was a local produce and super tasty!

Best stay in Iceland!!!

Can’t recommend it enough! The room was beautiful and comfortable and the host was lovely. We had a small issue that she helped us out with and gave us the best restaurant recommendation of the trip while she was at it. Make sure you don’t miss breakfast, there was homemade bread and jam, fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm, and local smoked salmon. Can’t wait to come back!

Everything was just perfect! I won’t spoil the surprise of this amazing place, you just have to try it.
Expect an infinite breakfast and a super friendly dog!!

Amazing guesthouse. Easily one of the best places to stay in the entire country. Rooms are spacious, bathroom is immaculate, location is peaceful, and the breakfast is incredible.

I really hate to tell anybody about this place because I love it so much I want it all to myself 😉❤💕
Our hostess was an amazing woman, a great baker, fantastic artist, and every day had breakfast for all of us at a communal table really nice

Grand Gardakot is a marvelous guesthouse located in a reasonably distances from a touristy town — Vik. This place is peaceful, clean, warmed hospitality from the host — Ieva. Sadly i did not have a chance to explore the farm due to bad weather. Breakfast was superb. I like homemade jam and bread. Accommodation cost is fairly acceptable compared with other places in the village and nearby. This was my best 2-night in the whole Iceland Trip. I wish Ieva all the best and hope to see you in the near future.

Enjoyed a lovely stay with great food and interesting conversation with people from around the world. Only a few minutes drive from the light house and Vik. The host recommended Sudor-Vik for dinner which was fantastic food.

Beautiful place. Refurbished old farm house. Lots of space yet very cozy. A cake was waiting when we arrived and on our last day Eva brought us bars for breakfast. Eva has a studio and shop just across the driveway from the guest house. She lives just across the yard with her family if anything is needed. Very welcoming.

An Airbnb cant get better than this I guess! I just cant find a thing that is missing ...Location - the best, Home - the best, Amenities - all checked, View - cant get better....all checked. Beautiful home for 2 families. 8 people can stay very comfortably.

The Owner is so nice, she left fresh milk and an amazing cake for us when we checked in. She came after we checked in to see if we were okay and if we needed anything. She even helped us with a quick small laundry.

I didn't even get a chance to stay there due to extreme blizzard conditions along the south coast, but I just wanted to compliment the incredible and attentive service I received nonetheless. The host answered a ton of my questions, made everything flexible given the incoming weather, and was there to assist when we realized we couldn't make it. Truly an example of the kind Icelandic spirit! Hoping to stay there some day in the future <3

The best guesthouse in the area if you are driving from Reykjavik to Jökulsárlón and need to spend a night somewhere. We stayed in 2016 and got to see the Aurora from the backyard of the guesthouse. Also made some wonderful friends here. Hosts were super friendly

This was our favorite place to stay in Iceland. We had the ground floor ensuite and loved the room. Be prepared to go without shoes. The breakfasts served us there will be long remembered.

We stayed for two nights and had the best time. The home made breakfast, charmingly decorated rooms and lovely host made for an excellent stay. We will definitely be back.

tiny, clean, in a small compound of actual farm buildings, nice walk to the black sand coast, remember to ask about the dog Tina who lives there and loves to come w you on walks!
