The Endless Black Beach

If you are visiting Iceland, you HAVE to get to Black Beach one way or another. It’s stunning, the waves are fun and the stone formations allow for some very GoT-esque photos (the Iron Throne-ish).

Äußerst schöner Strand.. der Strand an sich ist bestens von der Straße Richtung Dyrhòlaey zu erreichen. Seitlich parken und dann quer über das Gestrüpp entlang des Hügels Richtung Wasser gehen. Ca.20mins zu Fuß.

Aussicht hat man die beste vom Leuchtturm.

Niezwykła plaża. Czarny wulkaniczny piasek dodaje jej uroku.

Caratteristica ed imponente spiaggia, tipicamente di colore nero dovuta all'erosione delle rocce vulcaniche dell'isola.
Il contrasto dato dal colore nero della sabbia e dal bianco della spuma delle onde crea un effetto visivo molto suggestivo.

Attenzione, come in tutta la costa islandese, anche qui è pericoloso fare il bagno nell'oceano: l'imponente forza delle correnti non va mai sottovalutata. Restate a distanza di sicurezza dalle onde.

La vista sulla Black Beach è stupenda dal punto panoramico nei pressi del faro, vale sicuramente la pena fermarsi ad osservare questa meraviglia.

Uren kan je hier langs de kustlijn lopen. Jammer genoeg valt het weer vandaag niet mee. Er staat heel veel wind.
