First impression was great, due to an excellent service (kind & nice) we felt welcome from the first minute.
Inside of the restaurant was clean and nice.

Food was outstanding, First we had fish & chips from the menu.
Fresh fish from the fjord, tasted really good.

In desert, Lava Chokolate cake..... oh my....
It looked like an rembrant painting, and tasted even better.

This place is a must try...

The best meals we had in Iceland!Icelanders eat here. Enough said. My husband had fish and chips and I had "catch of the day" and it was an arctic catfish. It was amazing!Hungarian waiter was fantastic. We will come again and will highly recommend Skipper to our friends traveling to Iceland!

This is a great place to let down for a draft beer and a meal after a day of sightseeing on the peninsula. We loved the fried Camembert, and the the fried fish was fresh, hot, and delicious. Service was fast and friendly, too! Highly recommended.

Found this gem when we had to adjust travel plans from West to East (due to weather). Cozy restaurant with a small menu and friendly staff. Our portions were more than enough and absolutely delicious, especially the fish and chips! Highly recommend!

These fish and chips were delicious! Very light crisp crust. The fries are on the skinny side which I prefer. They did have vinegar (if you ask) and they had beers on draft as well as many liquor options. We tried the brennivín (Icelandic spirit) after dinner which our server poured for us very chilled. Our server was lovely as well.

One of the places open for dinner a little late. Fish and chips were good and portion was right. A little greasy, but not too bad. Fries were seasoned and I enjoyed the batter on the fish.
The inside was packed so we sat outside which was fine. The food came out quickly and it wasn't too expensive (relatively speaking for Iceland) The staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Travelling by camper van, looking for a close by place to eat. Highly recommend this place for cosiness and some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. They had only opened two days ago at the time of writing and were focussing on home cooked food. Book ahead, they are extremely busy!

Great little local place. I recommend making a reservation and being on time (we saw people turned away). There aren't many places in this small town and so that is probably why. There are a limited choices for dinner--a few entrees and a few sandwiches but everything we had was delicious-- especially the catch of the day and the fries that came with the sandwiches. The server was working along but hustling. I highly recommend this spot if you are visiting this small town.

Lovely people working here and great food. The fish is apparently caught by the owner's partner and then fried, never frozen. Our waitress told us after we ate and were so impressed by the taste that we told them how much we liked it. Came with a nice salad and great fries.

Frankly, we didn't have high expectations, but the quality of the food was really good. The cod was tasty and juicy. The hamburger patty was hand-made and grilled to the point.
