Authentic small town coffee shop, great Sour bread and coffee was very good. I would prefer less plastic when it comes to furniture to make it more inviting. Otherwise good place to stop and arrange your further travel plans.

Awesome bakery with a great seating space for both summer and winter (we were there early May and the seating area was warm and sunny). Great selection of bakery items, some sandwiches, and also coffee to go along with your breakfast. We both had muffins and they were SUPER fresh and delicious. A little self service kiosk outside for when they are closed, love the idea to reduce waste - we wished we had checked it out the night before for goodies!

cake and pie lover is a MUST!

Before we headed there, I was told there is only one coffee shop in the neighborhood, so I was aware of.

Their foods, cookies were so good. it was fresh-baked and coffee was amazing. I was getting curious about their coffee. Why it's all so good. Hmmm.

Nesbrauð is renowned for its volcanic rye bread (Rugsbrauð) as well as its ástarpungur and kleinur (think perfectly fried croquette meet donut balls).

The Rugsbrauð is definitely something. The ingredients typically consist of just dark rye and syrup, with the dough buried underground in the black volcanic sand (or thrown into a sulfurous hot spring). The result is that the earth does the cooking, and you get a uniquely filling, dense, and slightly smoky rye bread whose flavor is one for the books. It’s an acquired taste for sure but definitely something worth trying in Iceland

Fantastic stop for authentic pastries, baked goods, coffee, and refreshments. The pastries were so good we loaded up on some to go, best we had in Iceland.

I am super jealous of people living close to this bakery! It would be my dream to have breakfast at this place every morning. I had couple pastries and bread from here! Everything I had was made well and tasted fresh. Bread we bought was soft on the inside and a great bite. Also we pretty much bought out all the jams they have on the counter. Which was...8! It was that good! If you can get your hands on the orange marmalade it has apples and apricots in it as well! So amazingly delicious!

Best way to start the day. We were camping close by and came for breakfast and this place didn’t disappoint. We had a selecting of baked goods and coffee all were incredible and pretty affordable based on Icelandic standards which was a relief. When you stop here get the big cinnamon roll
