The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The weather was cold and rainy during our stay, so we were especially thankful for warm tea and tables to play cards. Also, one of the employees had two really, really good dogs that we were overjoyed to meet.

Probably our favorite small hotel we stayed at on our trip around the ring road. It’s so cozy and warm with lots of wood accents. The views are gorgeous from the property and everything was super clean. We talked to the guy running it and he told us about life in Iceland and about some geography facts. If you book direct you get breakfast included - I did it through booking.com and breakfast wasn’t included

Clean hotel, great shower, comfortable bed & pillows. All the staff were so friendly & hospitable, they all spoke perfect english. It's so conveniently situated. We spent 2 days there exploring the peninsula and it felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends when we left. I could have been happy here for the entire trip!

This place is very cozy and the location is perfect for our trip to the northeast peninsula during our June trip in Iceland. The room is very clean and bed is comfort. The staffs are very friendly. Our family of three loved it.

Super clean and pretty hotel. The beds were very comfortable. Free coffee 24 hr using the coffee machine. The hotel attendant were very nice. We arrived late and starving. He allowed us to use the plates and the table in the bearkfast area to have our dinner. Location is also great, about 30 min drive from Grundarfjörður. Would definitely recommend here!

Great location for the peninsula as it is quiet and cozy. We arrived late and they were very accommodating and were even going to reopen the kitchen for us if we wanted to eat, we ate as we traveled. Also great location before catching the ferry in Stykkishólmur.

I can not be more happy about this property. We stayed in one of the cabins. They're adorable, kitchen is fully stocked with tea, coffee and spices which we haven't seen in the other cabins. It's a nice little touch, overal all these little touches and design and nice cute cups and plates made us feel really welcome. The woman in the hotel was so kind at check in.

THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR NORTHERN LIGHTS! You can see them right sitting from your porch, you're in the country side and your view of the lights is not obstructed at all. We went to other cabins where you can see the lights but you had to sit away from the cabin or walk to a different point away from lights or hills or such (I know, big deal) but this place is just so perfect. We saw an absolutely stunning dancing northern lights show for about 6+ hours right from the comfort of our porch with shelter from the wind.
It is very small but I would recommend this place any time. Just don't book it all because we want to come back too!

This really deserves six stars for location. I was the sole guest when I stayed here in November 2022 and there was nothing like having this incredibly cozy cabin for myself in the Icelandic wilderness with not a soul around, or sitting outside in total silence under a clear sky with thousands of stars and the northern lights. Despite being in the middle of nowhere, it is easily accessible via the express road 56 from the south or road 54 from the mainland which is a very pretty but slow gravel road. The owner is also very nice!

We couldn’t have been happier here. The room was immaculate, well furnished and had a fabulous helix shower.
Of particular note are the staff; they are the nicest people you could meet. The lady that checked us in and cooked dinner was lovely. Her cooking was great too!
Breakfast was just what we needed too. Buffet was plentiful and we’d preordered fresh waffles and hot croissants.
Perfect!

Extremely clean. Wonderful beds and towels. Wonderful staff. Wonderful tea and coffee. Dinner available to buy. Breakfast is not included. Washer and dryer for laundry is available for a fee. Strongly recommend this place if you are in the area. Very cute town nearby.

Joyce was a great hostess. Food was delicious. Room was nice and clean. On a clear night, would have been a great place to see the northern lights. Unfortunately we came at a time when it was raining cats and dog, and very cloudy.

What a beautiful location! The breakfast was fantastic too. The local port offers tasty eats as well. You will need to take your trash out when you leave.

This is a well kept hotel, it is full of character and the love and attention that the owners put into every facet of the building. We also received free breakfast for booking directly with the hotel.

New clean neat and tidy. A great hotel away from the town. Owners are operators themselves and are very friendly and helpful. Great uninterrupted view of the outdoors will be a fantastic location should the Northern Lights appear. Serves a healthy portion of breakfast too! Recommended.

We recently stayed in a cabin here, and we were entirely satisfied with our stay. The cabin was clean, had a good view and the instructions we got were clear. The restaurant has a small menu and serves delicious meals for a decent price. The staff was very kind and some of them like to have a laugh with you if you're up for it. One of them have a very nice and welcoming dog walking around on the premises. The only single thing that bothered me was the fact that the sofa bed was rather uncomfortable to sleep on. If I ever happen to visit Iceland again, I'd stay here again.

We stayed in cottage 4 a 2 minute ride down a dirt road. Happy with all facilities but especially like the friendly Thai smile from Joy who checked us in and fed us dinner each night.
