This area is more of a vast peninsula than just a look out point so make sure you give yourself some time to explore! It’s beautiful (but very windy at the top). There is parking at the top and the roped trails are very accessible.

Worth the drive from Vik. Stunning views. The observation area has a small parking area with a restroom building. There are several footpaths to various views of Dyrholaey and back towards Vik. You can hike up to the lighthouse for even more amazing views or take the quick drive up to a separate parking area. We had strong winds and chilly temps, but so worth it!

One of the most stunning places in Iceland, and the best spot to see puffins. Got to see a whole colony of them. They are very used to people it seems because they won’t be bothered even if you are just a few feet from them.
Definitely chilly and windy so be sure to bring appropriate clothing!
Easy paved drive to the parking lot, just go uphill quite a bit, then just a 5 min walk or less to look at everything.
Has good bathrooms & doesn’t close at 7 pm like google maps says. It just stays open.
Just know you can’t get to the Black Sand Beach from this viewpoint.

Great scenery! Dress warmly, and it’s super windy over here! When my friends and I came by here, the wind speed stayed at 31mph. Definitely check this place out !

Really cool overlook out to the Atlantic. It was very windy the day we visited, so we were extra careful near the edges, but the dangerous spots are roped off. The road to get up here is steep and windy.

Can't beat this view, I recommend this place to anyone that likes a good view. The “endless beach” is very beautiful and the lighthouse anchors you to a solitary peaceful place, easy to walk around but steep roads so have a good car.

Stunning volcanic peninsula with wind-sculpted rocks. Puffins around.

Stunning views in all directions
Steep climb in car- 25% around hairpins
Incredibly windy but well worth the visit
Lighthouse review: nice brick work in places but colour doesn’t pop off as much of some of the other lighthouses we visited on our trip

Absolutely stunning views! Was such a highlight to our day! Can be a quick stop just to enjoy the views or you can walk down a little farther and see some more of the ocean. Either way is great and very worth it! Totally recommend making sure you stop here, you won’t regret it ;)

What a fantastic view! But when we were there, during the winter months the wind was killer!

Great point to stop and get a perfect view of dyrhólaey and the surrounding area. One of my wife’s favorite spots during our trip. Short walk from the parking area to enjoy the sights!

An incredible place to stop and admire the Atlantic Ocean and the black sand beach. There are a lot of different perspectives that offer a suite of impressive views.

Nice lighthouse with very nice view. The road up there with car is not suitable unless you have a fourwheel drive car. The views are really stunning and the ocean is blue.

Amazing 360 degrees view! It can be reached at spring time with normal car! No drones allowed!

Windy, no puffins yet in May. Beautiful view of the endless black sand beach. Saw an arctic fox when leaving the parking lot.

Such a beautiful area! We parked at the top of the cliffs (there’s a large parking lot) and walked around enjoying the beautiful views! Massive moss covered cliffs, black sand and the ocean awaits you! Bring your camera- some of Icelands most beautiful views for sure! The lighthouse on top is worth seeing!

Exceptionally spectacular views

Beautiful place on a beautiful day.
Two things to think about when visiting is that you either have to have a 4x4 car or walk.
And its windy at the top so a jacket is nice to have.
Would def recommend!
