The Castle Guesthouse

We book this last min room and drove 1 hr to get there. We particular like the quiet town and some sea view.
We got the cabin room. It has a comfortable bed and good enough kitchen to prepare breakfast with the toaster and coffee machine.
I would recommend anyone to book this Cabin.

The owner of the facility and her family are people with great care. They took me in in the middle of the night when they closed the roads. She prepared me breakfast and invited me to Christmas Eve because I had no way to move on. She took care of me like family. They are wonderful people and a wonderful facility. Thank you and I recommend it with all 😍😍😍

Good place to stay, we have got new cabin house it was comfortable and warm.

I stayed there for 8 nights and it's a very cozy and lovely place to stay near very scenic and beautiful places. The host is very kind and welcoming. The place was very clean and it was very comfortable.

We stayed at this guesthouse own by the same lady who owns a nearby campsite, the campsite wasn’t in great conditions. But this guesthouse she had us book was absolutely lovely Carolin is such a great host and she allowed us to cook a warm dinner in her kitchen as well. It was a very nice staying. Definitely recommend it. The rooms are big, warm and the toilets clean and warm as well.

Charming guesthouse very close to the sea. We stayed in one of the cabins. It is small but super well organized. The bed was comfortable and the shower was big enough. Good coffee included. Friendly, helpful host.

I truly had the best stay at the castle guesthouse - I’ll be back and I’ll recommend it strongly to everybody!! Most of the rooms have a direct view out to the ocean, were you can watch birds or even the northern lights. They’re nicely decorated, very clean and come with their own fridge, coffee maker and a kettle. Other then that you’ll find a good equipped kitchen and an outdoor seating area right by the beach. The owner Caro is incredibly friendly and welcoming, (same goes for her husband and their dog). Caro took the time to show me around the village, told me historical stories and took me to their horses when she learned I like them. She gave me some recommendations to explore west Iceland (which were great) and even invited me to have dinner with her and her family. If that’s not a perfect stay I don’t know what is. I met this beautifull and kind woman in the camping site near by (i forgot to ask her name), and she let me use her wifi from her guest house. Thank you so much, i could continue my trip in a safe manner. Best of luck in life. Willy

Friendly owner, clean rooms. Coffee as well as some tea is available. My single room had a sink inside so I didn't need to leave the room to brush my teeth or fill water.

A very cozy little cabin; very warm, sheltered from the coastal wind, WC, shower and wash basin with cooking facilities in the main house. With parking next to the cabin - all made it perfect for a stop over. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. They lent us some binoculars to go wildlife watching on the shore, which was enjoyable. That are just about to finish their common room where travellers can meet, chat and relax. An excellent stay and would stop here again.

Carolin was a great host, gave lots of good advice and we will definitely come back next time we visit Iceland.

We had to stop due to weather conditions. We couldn't have been more lucky.
You can find the main house with several rooms but also small houses with their own bathroom, table and chairs, coffee machine, toaster and a sink. The bathroom was clean and with good champoo 🚿.
The owner was really kind and allowed us to use the washing and the drying machine.

The Castle is a lovely family run guesthouse with very scenic seaviews. They have good amenities in the comfortable rooms and everything was spotless. Probably the best pillows of our trip. Very hospitable and flexible hosts who made us feel like home.

Lovely guesthouse with lovely staff, they are so welcoming and nice! My room is cozy and sparkling clean. Has everything what I need to feel like home: fridge, sink, kettle, table, some kitchen ware.

Lovely welcoming guest house. Breakfast is extra but there is a coffee machine and a toaster and a kettle in the room plus crockery and cutlery to feed yourself if you wish. There is also a fridge and some coffee, tea and sweets are provided. Rooms are not en suite but the walk is short and there is a bathroom with shower and toilet and a separate toilet with wash basin. There is also a wash basin in the room. A pair of binoculars for bird watching is provided on loan in our room with sea view. Whether other rooms get that I don't know. There also access to a microwave and a sink for washing up. Plenty of car parking on the recently tarmacced front yard and a map of the town provided and discounts at three restaurants. Altogether splendid! The beds and duvets are very comfy too when you find time to sleep between using all the items above.

Best place we stayed at in Iceland. Everything is very clean. There is free coffee included in the room. In front of the place there is the most beautiful wooden bench to eat breakfast while overlooking the ocean (see the picture I uploaded). The lady who hosted the place was the kindest person. She was very helpful, warm and knowledgeable. The price is also the lowest in the area, but the quality most likely the best. Definitely recommended.

I booked this the day of arrival, moments before checking in, and they were ready to greet me the second I arrived. They upgraded my room for free. I have an amazing view of the beach which is just steps away. The accommodations are incredible. This little guesthouse has everything. Fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nescafe dolce gusto coffeemaker, coffee and milk, tea, real china and silverwarr .. hair dryer, towels, shampoo and conditioner .. desk with two chairs, wifi ... in room temperature control ... What more could you want?

After 8.5 hours stuck in a snowstorm this was a perfect haven. They waited up for us to arrive at 3.00am. Lovely service and great rooms.
