Beautiful beach. The best pictures are from the road on your way down/up. The road to get here is not easy (unpaved, sheer cliffs, switchbacks). This location listed on google maps has no parking, park by the black church. It’s very windy here.

Massive sand beach surrounded by huge fjords everywhere you look. Wander to the far edge, south I think, where there are 30 ft cliffs and lots of cool rock formations right up against the ocean. Definitely worth the drive out here!

We loved this beach, worth coming out of our way. From the camping to the seal colony and back, we walked about 8km and the seals are quite far away, but we (and our kids) loved it!

This was a great place to visit, the sand is mostly yellowish orange with patches of other colours. There are other yellow sandy beaches such as the north western tip of Snaefellsnes national park but this place has almost no people. There are cabins available, toilets, sinks, showers and a little shop if you want to stay the night or feel like an instant coffee or hot chocolate.

Beautiful place... one of the few beaches that are not black sand in Iceland... free parking at the campsite... need to pay for toilet...

Consider to visit this place when it's low tide time. We haven't seen rose-sand beach, since the road through grass field was flooded by water.
But anyway it looked awesome.

A pretty bumpy dirt road to get here but worth it! It's a beautiful area to walk around and enjoy nature. The beach & meadows were probably the windiest place we've been so far so be prepared for that, but enjoy ❤

Fantastic beach. From far away it seems all of a sudden you've been teleported from Iceland to Polinesia. Only thing is, the golden sand is actually a thin layer on top of gray volcanic mud. Great for kids to play and build mud castles!

One of the most scenic and stunning beaches in Iceland. Best thing is the location and proximity makes this a gem to explore by yourself. The beach is extremely long and the ocean water creates an incredible contrast.

Pro tip for photographers: Be weary of the changing tide as water can back fill the closer sands and trap you in if you are exploring along the water line.

Unfortunately it got dark quickly once I made it here, as the sand beach really comes at its best in sunlight, but nevertheless really nice and different

Amazing beach with a great view. It goes on forever and has some really beautiful shells to hunt for.

Definitely "out of this world"! Raudisandur is unlike anything I've seen in Iceland. The tide was low when we were there so I could walk on the sand with a "tiger" pattern. The reflections in the water, the dramatic skies, the surrounding hills... it all contributed to a unique atmosphere. Ah, yes, there's a waterfall as well (surprise, surprise:)).. when we were there, they were working on a camping place. There was nobody there, but the facilities could be freely used.

Scary(for myself as it is á mountain steep road down) gravel road down to this beach, just drive safely as this is worthy eventhough it's windy

Exceptional place. Accessible with mountain road and big descents. 30 minutes walk to the ocean. Expect to wet your feet in the sand.
