The accomodations and establishment are very nice. The whole feeling of this place is very unique. It's not just a place where the views are amazing, but also a farm where you can see horses and also 2 very nice dogs. You have a hot sprint outside and inside. We've been in Iceland 3 times and here we ate the best food from all the places.
This guesthouse is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. I will not be surprised if in the future people will visit the west fjords only to stay here. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much for having us.

Mountains, fjords, snow, horses, Northern lights, natural thermal springs, and big sleeping dogs...all with the feeling that you're a million miles away. Oh...and don't forget the cat who thinks she's a dog. Our 3 nights at Heydalur was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and the dinners were absolutely incredible (loved the trout and the lamb stew with bananas)! We enjoyed just relaxing around the farm, but we also drove into Ísafjörður one day and every turn was like a post card! So glad that we found this place while planning our 2 week trip to Iceland. Thank you for the amazing stay and the wonderful memories!

We spent four nights in Heydalur and couldn't be happier. We arrived late and the team still made sure we got dinner. The rooms were warm even when it was freezing outside. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The hot pools are amazing (and you can watch the northern lights from them, if skies are clear). The food is great (especially the fish dishes). The whole personnel was incredibly nice, including the animal staff:)

Highly recommended

Very cozy hotels, a hidden gem inside the westfjords. All surroundings are breathtaking, especially in autumn (end August, first 2 weeks of September) when the nature shows its magnificent colours. The restaurant is excellent!

I have been there several times in different occasions:
- Alone in the camping site,
- Traveling with a friend in the campsite
- Traveling with my family in the hotel room

This place is magic in any possible way:
Stella I believe is one of the pillars of Iceland with her kind heart and the care with which she runs the operation, there is fun parrot that welcoms the guests at the entrance of the reception.
There is a rather big greenhouse with an indoor pool as well as and outdoor one (which i often prefer).

Over the years, everytime i travel to the Westjords this place is a must-go. The location is magical, you could simply spend a long weekend just there, hiking and exploring the area, it is located 1:40h from Isafjörður and even the road to go there is spectacular. There's a good chance to spot some shy artic foxes and seals along the way.
The food and the breakfast are purely authentic Icelandic and really tasty!

Last time I have been there with my family, I casually mentioned that my cousin and aunt are allergic to gluten, and the morning after for breakfast, Stella not only remembered that, but also personally baked some gluten free bread for them.

When instead I firstly came here alone, I had a beautiful evening in the campsite, playing music around a bonfire with other guests.

This place will always have a spot in my heart, and I am sincerely looking forward to going there again.

I wish our travel plans had allowed us to stay another night. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the food at dinner was delicious. We both loved wandering around and visiting the horses and walking by the river.

It’s magical place, pool in green garden was my favourite. There is also talking parrot, friendly dogs, lots of horses and very good food. This hotel is run by family and you can feel more as a guest at home than in a hotel, that’s why this place is so special

Stayed 2 nights with our family of 5 at the hotel. Place was wonderful! Kids just loved it. Loved the outdoor hot springs, indoor pool/greenhouse, zip line, little river, all the farm animals. Kids had a fun horseback ride around the farm. Cozy restaurant with great, fresh, local food and good breakfast. On our last morning, we even lucked out and saw a whale in the fjord. Wish we stayed longer!

Lovely place at the heart of the westfjords, nested at the bottom of a cute fjord where you can spot whales and seals with luck. We camped at Heydalur and the spot is cozy and quiet, trees for wind protection and close to the river. The pool and hot pots are a great addition to the location to wind off the drive!

My family and I decided to try their breakfast on a whim and it was arguably the best meal we've had in iceland. The bread was the best tasting bread ever!

I only came to eat and make use of the pool and hotspring. Both did not dissapoint. The burger and service was great and the pools were nice and warm.

If you are in the area, look no further, you have found the perfect place to rest, enjoy the beauty of the landscape and the kindness of the Icelanders. The rooms are large enough and well equipped. There is always someone from the team who is available when needed to answer your questions. And the restaurant, what can I say apart from amazing. The chef has a talent for offering us a multitude of quality dishes based on fresh products. I strongly recommend this place.

Absolutelly amazing stay. This place is just charming. I had that "I am home right now" feeling. There are many animals - dogs, cats, horses, even very cute parrot saying "hello"! :) and beautiful pool in glasshouse and also true hotpots around. If I needed to choose one accommodation around all Iceland to stay there again - it would be definitely here.

Wonderful place in a valley where you can go horseriding for beginners and experienced, paddling on the fjord or just go hiking in the mointains. The hotel rooms are really nice, clean and well temperatured. You can order breakfast, lunch and evenings meal in the restaurant. Everything is cooked fresh and really delicious. I love this place.

It was great! Apparently we haven't seen the big picture while booking the room. We thought that it would just be another cottage in a valley. We knew there was nothing around so we brought a lot of food with us, but ended up eating in the restaurant. The prices are of course Iceland level high, but the food was also high quality. Almost all local delicacies. They also have smoked puffin, if you were looking to try it out. The breakfast buffet was also great, I'm chuffed that they had some crowberry jam, and the mixed berry jam was also delicious. I won't even mention the freshly baked bread, nom!
We didn't even know that they had a pool and a hot tub, apart from two outside hot pots. There is also a small natural warm pool just outside the farm area. It's a great experience!
The staff was really helpful, full of smiles. Unfortunately we couldn't meet the cat, but even the idea of having a cat around was cute enough 😄 If there is a next time I'm planning to stay for at least a couple of nights to enjoy everything they offer. Feels like it's worth it!

Just amazing special little place in the Westfjords. I went there one weekend with my two children and we all loved it and want to go back. We spent a lot of time in the pool and the hot tubs and playing at the campsite, running after horses and enjoying the nature. It's all so relaxed and free, highly recommended!

We really loved our stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the scenery was amazing, the room was big and there were 2 hot pots, a swimming pool and activities like horse riding, which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was very good with freshly baked bread.
