Iceland’s small wooden churches are all beautiful, set in often remote areas all alone in a magnificent landscape, and this is quintessential in that way. This place in general — the cliffs, waterfalls, mountains, red sand beach, and green marshes are a feast for the eyes. I wish I’d known that I needed. more time here.

Such an iconic spot. Unique historic church on the coast with a gorgeous mountain backdrop.
So remote, you wonder who attends service. Was a must see when we were in the Westfjords.
