Beautiful campsite overlooking a bay in the ocean with wonderful small hot pots complementary to soak in for guests. Also a nice bathroom area with showers a large cooking area with communal induction cooker and tea kettle overlooking the water as well.

Beautiful setting! The field for camping and the building that campers can use is overlooking the ocean and it’s really peaceful.

4000 ISK for 1 night for 2 adults, 2 kids in a camper van.

The building has a large, warm, clean common room with many tables and chairs and large windows. It has 2 sinks for washing dishes, a hot water kettle, a small refrigerator, a shelf with dishes and pots and pans for campers to use, a microwave, one induction burner for shared use. There are pots and pans there that work on the induction burner for shared use.

There’s a bin of free food that other travelers have left to share.
Lots of bins for sorting waste- compostable, plastics, glass, etc all sorted out for proper disposal.

The bathrooms are in the same building but you need to go out of the kitchen to access them. The bathrooms have 2 sinks, 2 toilets, 2 shower heads in a communal shower. Very clean.

There are 2 hot tubs overlooking the ocean but they didn’t work while we were there (wrong temperature). There were some men there trying to fix the hot tubs when we arrived but I guess they were unsuccessful. They definitely were putting in a good effort.

The faucet hot water (sink, showers) smells like sulphur.

It was very busy on a Saturday night!

The campsite is in a great location just a couple hundred meters from the highway 1. It is fairly priced at 2.000 Krona PP and has clean facilities as well as two hot tubs.
The showers and cooking facilities are included, but since it is all natural hot springs, the water smells like Sulfur. Would I come back? Yes!

Beautiful camp overlooking the ocean inlet. Lots of sea birds. Cooking area, hot spring water showers and hot tub. Easy to get to and was not too crowded while we were here.

Very good price 1500isk/person with everything included.
The hot bath is amazing after a long day, a great place to chat with other campers that are either starting or finishing the tour of the island.

On the negative note, the showers do smell a lot to sulfure and are too warm.

Great camping, we appreciated the hot thermal bath. Everything is clean, there are hot showers and hot water for doing the dishes. The common room is very spacious with some stoves, kettle and a microwave. There are enough plugs for everyone.
The only drawback is the exposition of the campsite to the wind, which makes the experience much colder!

Great experience in this campsite.
The toilets and showers were clean and they are big enough for everybody. The kitchen was big and warm and had the main things required to cook. The surroundings are beatiful and the hot tub has an amaizing view to the sea.

Great experience... Big kitchen area where you can sit. There are hot tubs (watch out for hot water pouring through the hole) with amazing view. It is possible to spot seals on the beach. One disappointed was the showers which had no curtains to separate you from the second person.

We stayed in a campervan here, views are excellent. Facilities were clean as could be. Bonus that it has a hot tub. Price isn't bad at all.

Great camp with large indoor area with kitchen. Two showers but no curtains and you can not regulate the water temperature. There is also a hot tub included in price. Would recommend.

The view in the morning is just the bomb. The amenities are good even though the showers are just a bit too hot. The owner is friendly and very welcoming.

Good place to stay, clean the washroom and the kitchen. I little bit hard to find when it is dar. The hot water pool it is very nice in the night.
The only thing that we have difficult was to see the aurora during the night because of the light the washroom and the kitchen. The suggestion I give to the owner was to put a curtain so in the night we can use to black the light

Affordable, quiet, amazing views! The owner is nearby to take payments and is very easy to talk to. Nice kitchen with common area. One of the highlights of our trip was watching the northern lights from their hot tub. Recommend.

This campsite is beautiful. The kitchen/common area is basic but large and warm with plenty of seats and a large window pointed towards the water, great for watching the seals and the sunset. The bathroom/shower situation is perfectly adequate. We did not get into the warm bath but a most other people did during our stay and we heard it was great. Not a busy campsite during the time we went.

One of the best camping; simple but not crowded, with hot tub and amazing view!

Big common space with kitchen, nice and warm.

Toilet is simple: 2 showers (not separated) 2 toilets; hot water.

Very charming campsite! Has all necessary facilities, warm showers, cooking and dinning area. Its just besides the water, so you can enjoy amazing view during your meals, and if you lucky, maybe you can meet a seal, chilling on her favourite rock!

Awesome campsite. Big indoor kitchen and dinning room with view to fjord. They got bins for recycled waste, hot showers, hot spring next to the facility building. Payment is possible by card and if you arrive late then owner will collect payment from you in the morning. Just be aware that the place can be more windy. 1500 ISK per person.

Great view and nice amenities. Right off highway 1. There is a free hot pool. Showers available but not private. There is a shared kitchen (with electric tea kettle and microwave) with many outlets and tables. 3,000 isk for two people.

A location with a nice view at the sea. The spacious kitchen area is nice because it is often windy near the coast. Sanitair was clean and the hot tub was a warm welcome! 1500ISK p.p.

Campground with access to a house containing showers, toilets, a big common room with tables and some cooking equipment ! Feels so nice to finally have hot water for your coffee after a long road trip…
Add a stunning ocean view and two hot tubs (opened 24/7) and you’ve got the best camping site we’ve been to in Iceland !
1500isk each.
