The best campsite in Iceland!
So first super well placed, but then showers, toilets, it's not so common in this country.
And extraordinary thing a place protected from bad weather to cook and eat.
Clean and well organized bravo!

Great campground with hot showers, wc and a small kitchen to wash dishes or cook food. Facilities are very clean and run 1500 isk a night per person. The campsite guard comes by at 8:30am and 8:30pm to check for camping passes. You can pay at the station on the hill or with the camp guard when they arrive with a credit card.

Really nice campground: the Kitchen offers Everything you need, the bathrooms are really clean. We paid over 3000isk for 2 people and a car+ tent but it’s worth it. The surrounding is also really pretty as you can for example reach a waterfall within 10 minutes walk.

Also the staff was really friendly!

Great campsite in a really nice location, close to Olafsvik and many walks from the campsite area. The facilities are nice (may be too small when the campsite is full but generally ok when we stayed there). Really recommend staying there!

Beautiful campsite on a lovely day. Surprising empty campsite. Clean and tidy toilets and kitchen with tables under a covered area.
The site is around 10 mins walk from the center of town. Next to the towns hydroelectric station, so you get the freshest electricity in town. Good flatfish site with enough turf to get pegs in easily, and a berm on the north and west sides to provide shelter from the wind.

Nice big place without reception. 1500 isk per person. Power costs extra. Little kitchen with hotplate. One toilet for man with hot shower. Two toilets and a shower for woman. A room with toilet and shower for disabled people. The ranger comes 8:30am and 20:30pm.

Stayed here on the second night of my 1.5 week road trip around Iceland. Easy in/out campsite on the edge of Ólafsvík, but note that if you are using Google Maps and coming from the west...DO NOT take let it take you up the hill to come down Dalbraut. The segment from the residential area to the campsite is blocked both ways by barriers; you need to take the direct route from Ólafsbraut (or just pay attention to the signs along the road) and don't turn until you see the sign for the campground.

Facilities are fairly decent with a kitchen, sheltered outdoor table, and pretty clean restrooms. It is right next to the power station, however the noise didn't really seem to be noticeable to me. From the power station along the campsite is a nice little stream that heads out to the ocean. The campsite also has a wind break, which should it be windy I am sure would be very helpful.

In terms of payment, there was no onsite host (this was in Mid-May 2021), however an individual came around to collect the camp fee in the evening and accepted both cash and credit cards. Easy enough!

Good camping. It has a small structure, 2 showers (1 male and 1 female) 4 toilets (2F and 2M) and a small closed kitchen area (has a 4-burner electric stove). The surroundings are beautiful and super windy as it is on the coast. The price was 1900 per person (including bath). Administrators stop by the campsite twice a day for payment).

Really nice camping ground with good recent facilities. There are tables to eat inside the kitchen area and outside(with a roof). There is also things like olive oil, pans etc. The shower was great and the water was far enough so your things didn't get wet. Only downside is that there is only one shower per gender but the camping is not overcrowded. Camping guard was nice to us. Price was not that high for the facilities too. I recommend it.

This was a pretty good campsite. Small kitchen and dining hall but it wasn’t too busy and we could cook together. Limited hot water supply so do try to shower as early as possible. The camp guard was very friendly and came to collect the fees at round 8:30pm.

Beautiful campsite. About a mile walk into town. Warm shower, stove, dishes to use, nice kitchen, everything you need for a comfortable nights stay. 1800isk per person. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice camp site. One shower per gendered bathroom, plus one all gender bathroom for 3 showers total. Not super windy. Friendly staff came by around 9pm for us to pay so we didn't have to be woken up to them knocking which is greatly appreciated. 3000+isk per site with two people.

Nice clean camping with well equipped kitchen. The only downside - overcrowded bathrooms in the mornings. Also there was a pretty strong smell of fish from nearby ocean, but you get used to it very quickly.

Camping perfecto! Good location, it is open during winter. 1500K for person. It has cuisine, two toilets and one shower for each genre. It also has WiFi. A person comes around 20 - 20.30 to pay, if you arrive later you can send them a WhatsApp. You can pay in cash or card. If the camping is not crowded it is perfect.

A great campsite with clean toilets, few hot showers, a kitchen where you can prepare you food, also there are sinks with hot water. The campsite is protected from the winds and is quiet. Overall one of the beast campsites in Iceland.

Very nice campsite with everything you could ask for: beautiful view, plenty of space and power outlets if needed. There are two showers and a small kitchen. And the place has WiFi, if that is something you are also looking for to be able to share awesome pictures you made to make everyone home jealous!

A nice, quiet campsite in a beautiful location within walking distance of Olafsvik and some very pretty waterfalls! A few electric hookups, a small but well equipped kitchen area and showers included.

Stayed sept 4-5 2018
Small-Medium sized site with central shelter/kitchen/bathroom. Positioned at the base of cliffs with waterfalls cascading to the ocean. Gender segregated bathrooms/showers. Hot shower included. Can get pretty busy. Was nearly at capacity when we stayed. City employees arrive at 8pm to collect fees.
