SO DELICIOUS! Came into town with a tour group for one day and we were all so pleased with our visit. We had the fish soup, fish & chips, pulled lamb burger, and the namesake burger as well as the lava cake and blueberry yogurt dessert. All were beautifully plated, perfectly cooked, and tasted so flavorful. The owner checked in on us frequently and was very fun to talk to. The service was great and even had a 20 person party in the upstairs area but we’re still speedy with our food. So excited to come here again if I’m ever in town.

Their fish soup was the best we've had in Iceland. It was hearty and they give you plenty of it. Their hot chocolate was also some of the best we've had.
I ordered the fish of the day and it was delicious. The steamed veggies that came with it were on point.
The venue is modern and clean, and the service was good. No complaints!

AMAZING!😍 Stumbled upon Reks while exploring the area and needed a comforting meal for lunch. The fish soup is so delicious!! Creamy, satisfying, and the bread is really nice too
For dessert I had the pavlova which was super tasty

Fantastic food. It is rare that you order three different things from a menu and have them all be excellent. The fish soup was amazing, the meat soup was spectacular with a strong lamb taste, the burger was huge and tasty. But the best thing were the fries - they were some of the best I have had.

Great eating spot right next to fast chargers, we parked our car to charge and went in there blind, can say we enjoyed every second of it. Food was lovely, i had the fish and chips, good portioning, and the breading on it was amazing. Highly recommend

visiting Reks restaurants you will not be disappointed! service at the highest level, very professional knows how to deal with guests. Food was a fairy tale! Delicious. Beautifully presented, aroma, texture, selection of ingredients, great applause for the Chef and his staff! Thank you very much for the fabulous dinner. I recommend it to all, even the most demanding guests!

Really great food, especially for being a small town! We ate the fish and chips and the fish of the day (trout). We were amazed at how quick our food was ready and how delicious it turned out.

I had the lamb! Then I also had to try the fish soup! The meals were amazingly delicious and beautiful presentation! The bread I may dream about.

Fish and chips was delicious and so was the Fish soup! Good music and very friendly waitresses. Tina helped us learn where to go and was very funny :)

While visiting Iceland with my wife, we stopped at Reks for a nice lunch. Our server was very attentive, spoke perfect English and was helpful with selecting native Iceland cuisine. I started with the fish soup and had the lamb dish as my main entree. The fish soup was the best ive ever had and the lamb was amazing! The plating looked as if we were in a five star restaurant. We plan to return to Iceland again at some point in the future during the winter season to see the northern lights and will definitely return to Reks.

Best fish soup I ever had, restaurant was packed at 2 pm but food still came pretty fast, great beers variety as well, definitely recommended if you’re in the area

This place is a must if you are travelling around the Snaefellsness area. The staff are very nice and the service is great, they dealt with large groups while we attended and everything ran so smoothly.

My family is in Iceland for a week and we have enjoyed wonderful quinine. Reks has been our favorite from start to finish! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, the staff was helpful and efficient! Our food was phenomenal!!! Make this a stop on your journey! Topped our meal off with Icelandic Skyr! My new favorite!

The weather was great, we sat outside and enjoyed beautyful view over the harbour area.
The service was kind & nice as for the Pizza was delicious.

So good!! Last night we tired, hungry and looking for anything to eat after a long day of hiking. We stumbled upon Rex’s — warm and inviting with a lovely deck and balcony, the place served great drinks and delicious food. Staff was incredibly friendly and responsive. The lamb stew was flavorful and served with fresh, crusty bread. My daughter’s chicken was a work of art. The rest of the family had burgers/pulled lamb. Everything was perfect including the tourist from Milan who struck up a conversation and bought us a round of drinks. Local or visiting…go to Reks!

Awesome reviews and for good reason. The burgers we had were the best we had in our 2 weeks Iceland, the picture doesn’t even do it justice. Pulled lamb, a real treat. Great restaurant!

Did not expect to meet this level of culinary in the middle of nowhere. I had lamb soup and fish, both where amazing!
The service was also kind and fast :)
