Nailed It Fish and Chips

I've never rated a food truck, but this is worth it. Our guide Tomas could not stop raving about these fish and chips. He said sometimes he drives from Reykjavik to eat here and then drives back-3 hours. After spending a day on the iceberg lagoon, we were hungry and decided to try it. O-M-G best fish and chips I've ever had. Fresh fish, not dry, batter is light and crunchy, not oily at all. Even the fries were great. Beer, sodas, water available. Eat at the picnic tables in front or take it to your car. This is a must stop if you are in the area. Don't even think about it. Just stop and stuff your face 🤣🤣

By far the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish is fresh and cooked on site, and the piece of fish is substantial, so you can enjoy this delicious fish with a sublime landscape, the largest glacier in Europe. The service, the people, and the food is superlative. Thank you!

While waiting for one of the boat tours on the lagoon, my wife and I decided to share fish & chips from this food truck. The staff were super friendly and the fish & chips were by far the best I've ever had. If you like fish & chips at all, definitely try it from here!

Seriously no complaints! Great location, good atmosphere (with it being directly by Diamond Beach!) I never really review places, but this is a 10/10! Add the magic dust.

After a Glacier Tour this was quite a tasty and crunchy treat! They are super fast in their service and the fish is really delicious! I only wish they gave a bit more of the fish as similar outlets elsewhere provided that for the same price.

The fish and chips are so good! Put the “magic dust” that they have on your fish and chips, it’ll be even better! Got to enjoy my fish and chips by the beach. The staff behind the counter are very friendly. I recommend this a lot if you want a place to eat near Diamond Beach. They really “nailed it”!

Best fish and chips in Iceland! We tried several others during our visit and we all agree, Nailed It is the most delicious and in a perfect location!

Unexpectedly delightful. The batter is crispy but standard, however, the Atlantic cod inside is exceptionally soft and creamy. The fish was cooked to perfection that it carried the whole dish. I just wish I got more fish. It's definitely worth it. For the taste and quality, it's worth every star!

Holy Moly! This place was came out of nowhere unexpected and it was a diamond in the ice. I had the best fish & chips ever. It was so perfectly fried that it blends so well with the cods tenderness. I Also don’t forget to try“magic dust” I told the owner multiple times that he should open up a restaurant.
the owner was super polite and you can tell he is enthusiastic about his food from the way he treats customer and foods.
I gave him a bottle of wine at the end because it made my day 👌🏻

The fish is really fresh and fried by order.
Place can get busy during lunch time but the stuff/owner is really helpful with the orders.
A lot of condiments are on offer such as salt, magic powder, vinegar, mayo etc.

Went to try and find this place but the weather meant Karl couldn’t get the van here. Wonderfully he messaged to tell us he would be here the next day.

This was the best meal we’ve had in southern Iceland. The chips are hot and tasty and the fish is perfectly cooked with a dark crisp batter. It’s also really well priced for Iceland and is convenient for the glacial lagoon and the diamond beech

Best fish & chips I’ve ever had. Zero aftertaste unlike every single other fish & chips I’ve had throughout my life. Magic dust seasoning was just icing on the cake.

Ordered piping hot fish and chip..comes with generous serving of fries.
As the weather was so cold, and they had only outdoor seats, we ended up eating in our car.
There are other stalls in this car park too. But i didnt get a chance to try.

Definitely need to stop in when you go to diamond beach!!

I fortunately a saw a couple eating fish & chips - I asked if it was good- they said they had a split lobster roll and order of fish & chips- then got a 2nd order of fish & chips!

We've eaten fish and chips throughout our ring road trip, and this place is by far the best I've ever had in my life! The cod was fluffy and fresh. It was so tender and moist, cooked to perfection. The batter is crisp and light. Sprinkle a bit of the magic powder too! (it's amazing). Could've been 2x the price and it would still be worth it! I'd go out of my way to drive back to get it again if we had more time.

Probably the best fish and chips we’ve tried in iceland. For a tourist place the food is great.

The perfect take away fish ‘n chips. You can seat in your car while enjoying the diamond lagoon ( on a rainy day). Great quality and perfect location

Amazing!! Best fish & chips with batter that just melts. The owner is the sweetest and made sure to squeegee off the benches for us. Try the magic dust! Truly a can’t-miss for this area with excellent prices. Will definitely be back on our next trip!
