Beautiful Ski Resort! Went here on my last day in Iceland. Middle March. It was absolutely gorgeous! Skies were clear. Can see all the way to the ocean including Reykjavik. Will definitely come here again! Beautiful Blue Mountains.

If there is new snow Bláfjóll can be excellent, with good pistes and sometimes good powder.
As it is only a few 100m above sea level the snow can change quickly. On the plus side it is only 30-40 minutes drive from town.
It can get busy, so best to arrive when it opens to get the best runs.

Such a pretty resort! And it's open till late. Lovely slopes, plenty of room for everyone, at any level.
Had to queue for a while to hire equipment but well worth it!

Look very different in summer

A nice and family friendly ski resort with a canteen where you can buy sandwiches, french fries, burgers etc. You can also bring your own food and dine there. The resort has 2 main chair elevators and several disk elevators. In Bláfjöll you will find great beginners slopes with a "magic carpet" elevator for the youngest children.
Visitors can purchase various admission cards, down to an hour, or up to a full day and even a full season card. The cards are electronic. Admission cards can be purchased on arrival at the resort but to save time and avoid lines they can be bought at N1 petrol stations at four locations in the capital area; N1 Lækjargata in Hafnarfjörður, N1 in Ártúnsbrekka Reykjavík, N1 in Stórihjalli in Kópavogur and N1 Háholt 2 in Mosfellsbær.
At the Bláfjöll resort you will also find an equipment rental with both ski's and snow boards.

Estación de esquí pequeña pero agradable, fuimos en sábado y no había mucha gente. Precios muy asequible tanto el forfait como el alquiler de material

Ekki endilega besta skíðasvæðið í heiminum, já eða á Íslandi heldur. En klárlega það besta sem er í boði fyrir okkur sem búum á Suðvesturlandi. Reyndar er búið að bæta svæðið mikið og komin snjóframleiðsla svo þetta er allt að koma. Smá bömmer hvað aðgöngumiðarnir hækkuðu mikið þennan veturinn og því einhver sem munu ekki fara til að sjá hvað svæðið hefur breyst mikið. Hefði að mínu mati hækka minna eða seinna og vera með smá kynningarstarf þennan veturinn. Aðsóknin hefur reyndar verið góð og stundum of góð svo sennilega er þetta bara vitleysa í mér. Hefði samt mátt undirbúa sig betur fyrir fyrstu dagana, 22. desember var frábær en svo fór allt í skrúfuna næstu opnunardaga. Endalausar raðir, leiðibönd ekki klár við lyftur og raðir caos og ekki tilbúnar fleiri lyftur. En samt frábært að hafa ykkur, þið eruð frábær og fimm stjörnur.

Kleines Skigebiet aber die Aussicht ist einfach toll, wenn man im Hintergrund das Meer sieht! Es gibt keine schwarze Pisten aber es reicht für 2-3 Stunden. Skier kann man dort ausleihen, es gibt aber nur einen Tagestarif. Den Skipass gibt es aber für 1, 2, 3 Stunden oder als Tagespass.
