Bakki Apartments & Hostel (Eyrarbakki Hostel)

We stayed in the hotel portion... Beautiful room!!!! Very well put together! It's a small historic area with an easy to access boardwalk that goes alone a small, very rocky shoreline. A main town isn't far at all. Maybe a 10-minute drive. Definitely would stay at this location anytime we happen to go back!!! A place to fuel your vehicle right next door, but you wouldn't know it. Really would live in that place and love it!

The apartment is quiet big with all the amenities. A one bedroom apartment with pull out sofa bed which was already setup for us when we reached there. Friendly host. The rooms were clean. Kitchen had all the items we needed to prepare food. Very close to the ocean. Bathroom had everything we needed. With so much light, we were able to walk by the ocean at 12 midnight. The best part is there is a massage chair. Overall a memorable stay and worth the price. Car parking was next to the apartment and free.

Location is just behind the beach, great facilities, clean shower rooms, friendly space with option to use the kitchen as well. Had a great time for 3 nights during my solo trip to Iceland.

Very nice accommodation in Iceland. They call it an apartment but it’s more like a attached row of chalets. Clean and comfortable. The apartment we had also came with a little kitchenette and was very useful. Lovely quiet location.

Thank you so much for the comfortable bed. I was too early to Iceland and none of the campsites were open yet. Luckily this place had a discount in the off season so I could burn a couple of days to get organized. It is a very well run establishment.

For the outside, first impression is strange BUT inside the room are cosy, perfect, clean and well furnished. I recommend strongly if you arrive from the airport and want to visit the south coast. It's the best doorway to start your journey. 2 hours from the airport the eve and go south in the morning.

We booked the apartment for 6 people. The apartments exceeded expectations, everything was great. The hostel is located directly on the Atlantic ocean coast, with a scenic Atlantic view just after leaving the room. Everything is great in the room, the toilet and shower are clean and comfortable, the beds are also very comfortable, great sleep. There is a parking lot next to the door of the apartment, good WiFi. Value for money was the best during the whole trip around Iceland, I recommend this hostel apartment, it is really great. The staff is helpful and explains everything, they can order a table at local restaurants if ask.

Very easy to check in and the owner was friendly and helpful. Spacious parking. The place was clean and had enough cooking facilities for us; no burners or oven. The bathroom was very good. The location is great in a rustic way and we sat outside on the bench on the seawall walk behind the building. Good for bird watching. Close to the store at the gas station. Nice to be in the middle of a village by the sea.

We are a family of 3 from Reykjavik that needed to escape the city and enjoy some peace in the countryside for a few days.
We loved the one bedroom apartment that we stayed in, perfect for me, my husband and my 8 year old. We love Eyrarbakki, it’s a quiet and cozy village that has a nice location making it easy to do day trips in the south, and within short drives to several nice swimming pools. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. We were able to cook some nice meals. The smart tv and available streaming services were perfect to chill at the end of our days. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in Eyrarbakki. It was lovely to be right next to the Atlantic Ocean. Many beautiful sites on the Golden Circle & the southern coast are nice day-trips. The newly-built apartment was spacious for three of us. Good value.

We visited this place in june. We were a bit late for check in, but they helped us to figured out. Close to Selfoss, best for sleepover near to Golden circle.

Very reasonably priced apartment. The place was clean, quiet, modern and equipped with everything you need to stay comfortably for few days in this adorable village by the sea with the beautiful sunsets yet close to Selfloss and the Golden Circle. We traveled on the Ring Road booking places one day ahead. We booked this apartment for one night, but we liked it so much we decided to stay another night before heading to Reykjavik. Will definitely come back on my next trip to Iceland.

Highly recommend! Great value, very happy with our stay. The girl at the reception was very nice and helpful when we arrived. The studio we had (one of the small one i think) was perfect for us: very clean, modern, cosy and warm. The beds were very comfy and the laundry smelt nice, the bathroom was very clean and spacious. We had everything we need in the kitchen, there was even a coffee machine with pods, perfect for breakfast. The location was nice and quiet, and very close to Selfoss by car.

Located on the south side about 10mins drive from silfoss, our apartment was modern bright,warm and on the beech, little in the town small petrol station with essentials and one restaurant, would highly recommend, probably need a car

I was a little skeptical when we arrived and saw the reception building, but the apartment is absolutely beautiful on the inside! Spacious entry way, bathroom and living area. The wifi connection is great, TV comes with Netflix- and the floors are all heated!! There's a path steps away that you can walk on to see the ocean ( you won't be able to walk to it due to all the rocks) We loved our stay here at Bakki

Hidden Gem
A wonderful apartment in a historic seaside villiage. A walk along the seawall tells a story words can not describe. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, large walk in shower, and comfortable bedding. Amazing views during the midnight sun, and I would assume the same for the Northern lights.
