Check the weather before you go and make sure you have enough time to hike there and back before sunset. We were able to make it to the plane and down to the beach in 2.5 hours. Very cool experience! Highly recommend it!

We stopped here on our ATV riding adventure. As such, it wasn't the main attraction of this particular trip. It was one of many things we stopped to see while riding along. There's an interesting story that the plane has. I'll leave it to you to figure that part out. No spoilers here. It's located on the very scenic black, volcanic sand beach. Well worth the visit just to see that!

Only really took 40 minutes to walk there

We hiked out for sunrise and at this time we were there only people there. Took 40-45 minutes each way (total walking 1.5 hours) at a brisk pace. The plane made a wonderful focal point for the sunrise.

There was a shuttle that ran back and forth from about 10am (probably changes seasonally). There is a parking fee you pay online at the carpark. Note: there are no toilets.

Snow. Out and back. 7km. Dead plane.

Amazing place, just expect to walk 5 kilometers each way from the parking lot if you go at night!

Nádherná pláž bez lidí (všichni dojdou k vraku letadla, dále téměř nikdo). Velice uklidňující místo.

Un lugar mágico. Recomendación, nunca salgas del camino al regreso es muy fácil perderse. Me sucedió u en verdad me asuste. Disfrútenlo es mágico!!!!
