olduvaï camp

Absolutely great camp in Olduvai, Ngorongoro Conservation area. The arrival is great, seeing the “rocks” of the camp, accompanied by the people from the closest Masai village helping with the luggage and getting to know them. The camp is great, in the middle of a place where the horizon doesn’t finish. You can sit and have a drink by the fire and watch the wonderful sunsets. Food and breakfast is also good. Tents are really nice, clean, with good bathrooms. We also had an amazing walk with a Masai around the zone and got to know more about them. It is the place to stay if you’re traveling from Nrongoro towards Serengeti.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Olduvai Camp! The staff is tremendously helpful and kind, the tents are great, and the views are amazing! This camp is different than most in that it is run by the Maasai, which are the indigenous people of the area. We treated it more like we were staying with old friends, and they responded with kindness and laughter. This is not a luxury 5-star, but rather a down-to-earth camp which is very authentic. We also enjoyed all of the options other than safari such as mountain climbing, nature walks, sunset views, and much more. We will be back!

If you are a lover of the wild, quiet and you love experience the old African culture among the Masai, visit Olduvai Camp. The staff are great and will show you around and even help you visit the Masai people if you want to. I love it here. The ambience is serene, it is to die for.

We stayed here after two days of camping in ndutu. Friendly staff and a wonderful sunset and place to watch the stars at night.

Évasion dans un autre monde. Aller admirer les couchés de soleil avec les massaïs ou Partir en promenade matinale. Ils sont tous d'une gentillesse. Prévoir des prises non européennes pour charger appareils photos 📷 ou éventuellement téléphone. Mais pas trop de connexion ou pas du tout. On déconnecte complètement ❤❤❤❤

Bonjour une bonne traversée et safari dans le Serengeti un arrêt d une heure entre 18h et 19h dans un village masai à proximité 20 minutes de l hôtel seul dans ce village avec toute l explication en anglais de leurs modes de vies et coutumes génial nous arrivons sur ce Kopjes absolument intégré a l environnement . Accueil chaleureux et bienveillant Justin est là avec son sourire et ses chansons françaises . La tente numéro 9 immense se décline avec une vue sur le coucher de soleil une impression d apesanteur sur l immensité du paysage un régal tout comme notre dîner environnement très privilégié nous recommandons à l’unanimité bravo et à bientôt je l espère ,petit incident du lit cassé réparé avec un cailloux en guise de marteau »excellent ».le signal bouton de sécurité n’a pas fonctionné j’ai du descendre a l accueil pour prévenir de notre mésaventure ,merci à toute l équipe

Superbe nous étions du côté où le soleil se couche avec vue sur un village massaï. Nous avons marché à côté des ânes qui ont porté nos bagages jusqu’en haut du kopje. Épique!
