Was Cooking is a restaurant and lounge bar which specializes in burgers and wraps.

When entering, the first thing I noticed is the great amount of detail put into the interior. The walls had beautiful wooden panels and the ceiling above the bar was made of different layers of wood. Later on, the owner explained that the whole building was designed by a local architect who put alot of effort and creativity into this project.

The food here was great. I ordered a pulled pork burger and my companions a vegan wrap and oven baked salmon.
The platters were beautiful and very filling. For us it was too much, i prefer a smaller portion so I can eat a dessert afterwards. Platters here cost between 12 and 25 euros, which is very reasonable.

Make sure to make a reservation as this place is quite popular among the locals.

Fun Fact: ‘WAS’ stands for Wood Art Style.

If you prefer your burger to be exclusive then you should try WAS Cooking. In a fresh looking restaurant with a playground in front of the terrace you have found a new place that is definitely worth visiting. The staff is friendly and helpful just as you are used to in Austria.
If you prefer a burger, wrap or just a wonderful piece of meat this restaurant is a good suggestion. PS every Saturday they have a grill & chill evening (if the weather allows it).

Really cool restaurant with many vegetarian and vegan options. It is located on the way from Lermoos to Ehrwald and has a very big parking spot. You can enjoy a meal in the valley surround by beautiful mountains.

We have visited Was cooking so many times over the years. We always ski locally and eating here is the highlight of our trip in culinary terms. This year, following a Covid imposed delay, we treated ourselves to two visits. As always, authentic dishes and impeccable service. You can scale-up or down to suit your budget too. Without doubt, the best burger of your life I guarantee. Also steaks and delicious desserts. Try it. You won't regret it. You will be raving about the experience for a long time after....

Really nice contemporary food. Large portions. Owner was really nice despite us turning up 24 hours after our booking. My mistake. Any of the adult meals can be downsized to a kids portion (helps if you have veggie kids). Lovely sandpit play area that kept the kids entertained. Can be accessed via the beaver trail.

Well above our expectations. Family of 4, felt very welcome. Food, drinks and service all superb. Portion sizes were American!

We happened to be staying across the street so when the landlord mentioned a burger place I did not really expect much. Being American I am often unimpressed by European burgers and avoid them in favor of local cuisine. This place blew me away. It is not simply a burger place. It is an outstanding restaurant. We are actually coming for our second dinner in a week. The salmon burger I had last time was absolute perfection. Looking forward to the beef this time.

The restaurant is just great, delicious food friendly service and extremely fast. Surrounded by the mountains. It was a nice experience there. For sure we will visit again.

i´ve been the last week in this place and I've had a excellent experience there, the hamburger was amazing and the employees were very kind and charming.

Was Cooking is the best Resturant i ate at since a very long time.
