Coburger Hut

Stunning view over two Beautiful lake seas from the Coburger Hütte. Menu and prices are fair. The hike from Ehrwald is Beautiful two. It is brillant to have a mountains and beautiful seas at the same time. Also refreshing bath is possible. We‘d like to com back.

One of the most beautiful places you can visit in the Alps. You have easier and harder alternatives to reach the place, and the lakes and views are just incredible. Also multiple trails to reach different peaks from the restaurant.

Great mountain hut, breathtaking landscapes, turquoise blue lake views, good beer. Will plan for a stay in the future. Hiked from Ehrwald talstation via Immensteig (only for people with strong head for heights and alpine experience - via ferrata A).

My excellent experience at Coburger Hut

My first glance of this place was the big line leading to order the food.The same about the tables.Finally I found a free table on the other side of the hut.The decor/the view was really nice.There wasn’t anything special about the decor.Rustic tables and of course the view.Impeccable!You look in one direction,you see the Seebensee,look in the other,the Drachensee.

Now let’s talk about the main attraction-food.
I ordered gulasch (meat sturr) and for desert berry cake.I’ve been here once and have ordered meat knödel (bread puffs with meat) so they are really nice too.After about five minutes I took my meal to my table and enjoyed the beautiful view,while eating the delicious food.The meat sturr was juicy and the warm bread really topped everything off.It was perfectly cooked and just divine.It of course did not dissapoint.The berry cake was warm and fluffy on the bottom and creamy,fruity on top.Sorry vegetarians,but this place isn’t really popular for their vegetarian options.Don’t worry guys,you surely will get full.

Let’s move on to the service.The service is attentive and friendly.In terms of money Coburger Hut offers reasonable prices for the quality and the amount of food they serve.

Overall my dining experience at Coburger Hut was excellent.I’m fully satisfied.Highly recommend.

Beautifully located hut, quite easily accessible from Ehrwald, with multiple options for hiking or cable car + hiking. They have a small number of cooked meals - soups, dumplings, cakes. There are many tables both inside and outside to sit at. Please be aware that the hut is closed during the winter (from October onwards).

Really friendly Stuff and really good food and drinks. With an absolute nice few to the Drachensee (you also can go for a swim into it)
You can't pay with card (only cash) but you can also pay with PayPal which is awesome! If you go to the front of the house you will have full reception (LTE+) and you can pay your order with PayPal. This is the first restaurant and mountain hut where I could pay with PayPal!

The view is beyond amazing. The staff was quite friendly but most importantly they spoke English. After a long hike having a drink in this hut is paradise. I loved the whole experience

Great place, awesome location, good food and friendly staff. The are plenty of different hike which bring you to the cottage and from there you have many options for summits ranging from an easy hike to an exhausting climb.

A long hike (9,5km) from Ehrwald cable car station. If you use the cable car to Ehrwalder Alm and begin your hike there, the distance is reduced to 6,5km. The hut is very nice located next to an alpine lake. It is very popular thus you have to book a bed in advance especially if you are going to overnight on a Friday or Saturday. The food is very tasty and the personnel very friendly. A hut worth visiting

Coburger is right above the lake and has a beautiful view. I had a beer, sausage and a knodel, everything was delicious. Definitely worth the climb up from seebensee.

Incredible food. The best spinach knödel and their apple strudel has lots of cinnamon and rum. Love

Amazing location, friendly service, comfy beds. Put on soap before hopping under the shower, and don't expect the water to get warm with only a single Euro!

Great walk up here! Steep with loose rocks. The view is worth it and so are the schmarrn. Good prices and quite some stuff on the menu.

Great hike up to the hut... It goes up up and up again but it's worth it! The view is awesome!

Superb climbing in this beautiful part of Austria. Climbing experience is needed on some of the higher faces. Beautiful walk in from the Ehrwald cablecar.

Just WOW. If you like hiking You have to visit Coburger Hutte.
