Excellent service and delicious food. The spicy dumplings were amazing. Let me put my bike on the terrace as I didn't have a lock which was very much appreciated.

An amazing place!
The best choice in Hofgastein for the morning or afternoon drink on a big terrace with the most wonderful view of the mountains and the town. Great place for a light lunch. Small family business made with love. Thomas is great host, as well as his mom. They’re speaking english as good as german. “Must visit” place in Gastein.
Prices are not high.
Service is wonderful.
When days are sunny it’s usually very busy. Sitting inside is also beautiful.
You can get there by car, there is always available parking spot.
The majority of the people walk to the cafe - nature, view and fresh air are amazing.
Being there is heartwarming.

Food was nice and the lady that manage the place and her son are really nice. I didn't have cash so that allowed me to leave the money at the reception of my hotel. Sorry I couldn't go back guys!

Idyllic, cozy and beautifully decorated hut to have a either a drink with something sweet while enjoying the panorama view, or to enjoy a tasty, home-made typical dish of Austria.
It’s easy to see and feel the love with which the family who owns it runs it, both in the quality of the food and their attention and sympathy.
The terrace is unique to enjoy the views. However, the interior is really cozy for the colder days and winter.
In Summer is nice to hike there, although is also possible to easily park if going by car.
Only cash payments are allowed. The price-quality relation is fair.
If you are not necessarily striving for something warm, try their Bauernsalat.

Great family restaurant with nice view of big portion of valley. Good prices, food and portion. Friendly for children. Gorges and very friendly staff. We visit this place whenever we come to Gasteiner Tall.

Lovely family run Cafe on the hill. Always worth the walk up. Great views across to the Schlossalm and up the Valley.
