This place is the closest to heaven you can get. Pure paradise! The monastery looks gorgeous from the outside, but the view from the city is breathtaking. Great place to watch the sunset, have a walk and see the city view. Very quiet and beautiful place. Can’t wait to go inside as well! Must see in Salzburg!

Great place to walk and visit with several chapels of particular dedication en route. The basilica itself is a stunning building and the interior is inspiring.

Between 2004 and 2016 I lived in the city of Salzburg and suffered a lot from noise pollution, poor air quality and light pollution. Therefore, I very often walked from the city of Salzburg to Maria Plain at night after work. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere of this area. It is something special. Maria Plain is a magical place. A place of peace. A place of contemplation. A place of contemplation. I used to go up this small and meditative mountain called Plainberg all by myself and spent unforgettable hours in this beautiful place.

Not far from the city, there is this great place to spend some time in the middle of nature. Very peaceful and quiet. There is a church there with regular ceremonies, sometimes they even have a choir singing. It can get pretty windy, as it is up the hill. You can also take a walk in the forest. There are one or two restaurants, a souvenir shop.

A beautiful and very quiet place, suitable to come read a book, relax and hear the silence, with an interesting view of Salzburg. Aesthetic church with Rococo-style ornaments. There is also a hiking trail

It is the perfect place to go for a walk with your loved ones. The view from up there is something very special, you can see a part from Salzburg that you would not see from somewhere else. The place is also part of the Jakobsweg, so keep your eyes open for the signpost. Best days to visit are sunny Sundays.
