This palace was absolutely out of the place. This place belonged to the Habsburg dynasty. They had exquisite water features scattered all over the place. A little surprise at each corner. The fountains and the limestone works inside are marvelous as well. They provide a nice audio guide at the entry for a rounded experience. This was a great experience.

This is a beautiful compound where you can easily spend a few hours. The interior of the estate is beautiful and informative. You'll tour multiple floors and learn about the Prince Archbishop that created the estate. Outside the gardens are gorgeous. You'll love being exposed to the meadows, flowers, ponds, and even memorabilia from The Sound of Music. Behind the palace are the trick fountains. Those require a timed ticket which is worth your money and time. It's easily the highlight of your visit so book early or spend time exploring the garden until your entry time. The gift shop is pricey but cute. Restrooms are available for free and staff does speak English.

An absolute must see, even just for the trick fountains alone (as a caution, you will get a little wet, but it's well worth it). The palace is set on expansive grounds, so set aside a bit of time to properly see everything.
I'd highly recommend the restaurant on site, the food was amazing and had one of the best schnitzels I'd had in Austria.

Trick fountains are a must visit. It's a scheduled visit and all the exhibits are in working condition and impressive. The Salzburg zoo if less than 10 min walk from here and worth a visit if you have time. Lots of animals you don't see in your standard zoo.

Mannerism style, fun and art. Absolutely worth to visit this place. Very attractive place, magnificent gardens despite the early autumn, loads of interesting technical amenities hidden behind the art……very old mechanical theatre for example….I really enjoy it.

A highlight of our Salzburg visit. We would consider it a must see. We loved all of the fountains and the imagination of the person who built them. These are more than the typical fountains. You will be surprised where the water comes out of as you walk by unsuspecting. It amazed us to see what could be built and operated so long ago. If we had the time we would have gone back the next day. It is well worth the entry fee. The entries are timed and on a busy day I would imagine the access to the site could be difficult.

Lovely place!❤ We had tour and it was fun playing on the water tricks while listening to the audio. It was an amazing place to visit. What’s more interesting was the stories behind each of the station. I do recommend to get your own audio at the entrance and hey its free!☺

We have been here twice. And we have loved it every time. It's such a lovely atmosphere, especially on holidays and Sundays. There is so much to do and lovely spaces to walk and places to eat. The zoo is within the grounds and has a few shops and cafes of its own. Your Time spent here will not be a disappointment.

The palace is very interesting with its thematic rooms, but the best are the fountains. The tricky fountains has always a last trick just for you.

Hellbrunn Palace is an early Baroque villa of palatial size, near Morzg, a southern district of the city of Salzburg, Austria! Every year have a Christmas Market in front the palace with awesome Christmas decorations and market!

It has a long hallway that's so beautiful and green, you have the water tricks garden which you can enter for a fee. There are water lakes in the outside yard which have fish inside that gives the whole palace a better view. I think it was used as a vacation palace because it doesn't look that luxurious.

Lots of fun - a human-scale palace brimming with whimsy. And the park-like grounds away from the palace are the perfect spot for a picnic or a quick rest.

This place was such a pleasant surprise to me and my husband! We visited the sound of music pavilion but we were so enchanted by the grandeur palace beside and the trick fountains. Truly enjoyed this palace and the history behind it. It’s worth the visit 👍🏻

The castle is interesting and fun to visit, and the grounds are very well kept and make for a good walk, but the true attractions are the Tricky Fountains, with water-powered animatronics and jokes from 4 centuries ago. Definitely worth a visit, with or without children, especially in the hot summer days.

Very known place ,but still a hidden gem full of history away fro city center salsburg,Austria and may be the last surviving trick fountains which is a must to see as it was an engineering feat to use water as a source to move various props making them move into various variations.

We are being told that it may be the last fully surviving fountains like that
Yaa the adjoining areas are gorgeous and mesmerizing.

The trick fountains are very beautiful and also like it is intended surprising. The audio guide is available in English and is very helpful in appreciating the engineering it has taken to built the beautiful gardens in the 1600’s.

This place has a wonderful garden and lots of trick water fountains, water features, grottos, statues and so on. There are mythical creatures too. Make sure you check out the outdoor dining table. I will let you decide if you want to sit at the table or not haha

It is one of the best attraction place I liked in Salzburg. I would suggest not to miss this. Please do visit it. It is 17th century palace of fountains. You will definitely get wet. If you are not getting wet then you are not enjoying your life. Water is theme of palace. It is covered in Salzburg day pass. Kids will love and adults too.
