Beautiful baroque cathedral that's free to enter and has a pristine interior that will simply leave you breathless. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside (it's usually the other way around). It is still used for religious services, the acoustics is amazing, if you can get to a concert or a sermon don't miss out

Beautiful church (as indeed are most of the churches in central Salzburg). Baroque style made exceptionally beautiful by its pure white interior. It's slightly off the main tourist trail and it's consequently usually very quiet.

The Kollegienkirche, or the University Church, is a magnificent Baroque church located in the heart of Salzburg. The stunning altar and the side chapels are adorned with beautiful Baroque art, making it a feast for the eyes. The peaceful ambiance inside the church, coupled with the beautiful artwork and architecture, creates a serene and calming atmosphere.

This is one of the three great churches of the city. All three churches are close together. The church is very beautiful. Take time out of all three.

The Kollegienkirche (Collegiate Church) in Salzburg, Austria, is the church of the University of Salzburg. It was built in Baroque style by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Salzburg. It is now both the parish church of people connected to the university and a venue of the Salzburg Festival.

The Kollegienkirche Church is an amazing looking church! This over 300 year old church is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center of Salzburg. While you are visiting this church make sure you take your time and enjoy all the small details in and outside! This is a very beautiful and serene church. It’s a must visit while you are in Salzburg. Also take your time to walk around and explore the surrounding University square. It’s full of small shops, gorgeous history buildings and the market is a must visit!

The altar in this Church is jaw-droppingly gorgeous with its cloud and angelic sculpture of white marble and golden ornaments. They are simply heavenly to behold. A must see if your in Salzburg.

Beautiful in its simple decor

This Baroque style Church is one of the most elaborate in the Salzburg Altstadt skyline. It is part of the University and otherwise known as Kollegienkirche. It is part of the UNESCO designation of Salzburg Altstadt, originally built as part of the University. After the desecration by Napoléon's occupying forces in the early 19th century it was variously used as a garrison church and a Salzburg Festival venue until its restoration as a Church in 1964.

We were very impressed by the interior of the church. Coming out of a Roman catholic tradition it was a very nice experience for us.
