Room was a bit dated, but that didn't bother me as I enjoy that style of decor. Loved the location and the balcony. Super quiet. Breakfast is a bit pricey at 16 euros per person. I had a room with a kitchen which could have had a few more utensils for cooking. But overall we had a great time.
Can't wait to come back.

Parking available free within blue lines in the road or in their private car park a little further away. Attentive English speaking staff and excellent food. Beautifully decorated - it's all round great place to stay. The lake is within 30 yards and there is a very well kept cemetery at the rear of the building. Much attention to detail has been lavished on this hotel and I thoroughly recommend the village for a walk.
St Wolfgang is within easy striking distance for a further day out.

Best place in town. Really delucious food, beer, atmosphere, exactly what you want from vacation place. We love it here.

Stayed for 2 nights in an apartment. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. At a walking distance of 2-3 min from the lake.
Would definitely recommend it.

Excellent authentic high quality food! On top of that staff is very friendly. All very rare in tourist areas.

Good food, reasonable prices. Lost a star because although the date we went was proclaimed as a special game and pumpkin menu, neither the main course nor the dessert I selected were available. Only two of the 6 or so game dishes were available at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening. Otherwise a pleasant ambience and good service. (October 2019)

UPDATE: we were there again on 16.9.2022. Food was excellent, a good choice and all prices were very reasonable. The service was unobtrusive but good, and friendly. The restaurant was very busy, and several customers were sent away and told to return later, so best to reserve a table (can be done online).

We had a really delicious dinner here! After few of so-so restaurants we’ve visited, it was surprising a bit to find a place where every single dish was so tasty! We ordered hot chocolate, cream garlic soup, beef noodle soup, and spinach dumplings. Everything was excellent and the staff are very polite and friendly. My only note is that it is a bit strange for us that they served us lots of bread with the soup (we didn’t asked for bread), but they charge for each bread you eat (after we ate we saw a little paper with price list for the bread), usually you get some bread included with soup dishes. Other than that, it was great and we recommend to eat here!

I want to stay again in this hotel later. Very good hotel. I recommend.

But the greatest thing about Kirchenwirt are its people. They make you feel at home, even if home is far away and in a different language.

If you are going to Strobl, this is the place to stay, especially if you can swing a room with a view of Wolfgangsee.

Very friendly service and cosy environment. We walked in and managed to get a table but there we quite a few tables reserved. The food was fantastic and most of their food is sourced from local farmers.

Had a lovely dinner with superb service from all the staff. Even staff not assigned to waiting at our table was attentive as they recognized we were traveling with young children.

Local Austrian Food with a great touch of the Salzkammergut. On the picture is one of their famous dishes. It's a kind of "nockerl" made of eggwhite and sugar which is very traditional in that area. It's a perfect desert to share among family and friends. Friendly owners that will serve you with a heartwarming hospitality.

Had a superb birthday meal here today. Food excellent and the staff extremely friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.
