Gasthof Kleefeld Hotel GmbH

Excellent food as usual, in great surroundings. If you eat outside, or in the small dining room, be sure to take a peek in the main room with its panoramic windows and wonderful woodwork.

The hotel is child-friendly, with indoor and outside play areas, but without impacting on those without children.

(There is no room rating as we live locally and only visited for the restaurant).

Great place to go with your family, you can do various hikes - from easy short to longer ones - see a lot of deers, pet the goats and the rabbits and eat some good Austrian food at the restaurant, which also have English menus (and you can pay with card). Parking is free if you eat at the restaurant, otherwise you have to pay. 100% would recommend, this place is truly beautiful, especially for kids.

We had a really pleasant stay (2 nights). The hotel and rooms are SUPER clean.
If you go peacefully and quietly by the back door of the hotel and you may have a heard of deers like 20m from you.
The SPA is perfect after a long day of hiking. You will enjoy the breakfast as well.
We had diner at the restaurant, it was a bit expensive thought.

This is an amazing place located in the Lake District. Kleefeld represents incredible value for food and lodging. The staff goes to great lengths to ensure that each guest is happy and enjoying their stay. The meals are outstanding. We enjoyed the many animals on site including the many deer, goats and others. A place you must stay at to enjoy food, nature and hospitality.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff beyond excellent, hiking trails, and of course the animals made this trip absolutely amazing. dinner at the hotel restaurant was cozy and a perfect way to end the day.

We have long yearned to visit Salzkammergut, and finally this October our dream went to reality. We found Gasthof Kleefeld in Tripadvisor and it was happy choice. Cozy hotel, clean, nice, perfect located at hillside, surrounded by majestic hills. Separate chapter was restaurant: very impressive place, but what was the best was meal, it was so delicious that we always consumed all what we obtain - but alas for our weight the portions were really rich. The staff was simply perfect, we had feeling that they are member of our family. We recommend visit this place for families with children - there are lots of deer, does, rabbits, mountain goats, sheep at fences next to hotel. You can see majestic deer through fence eye-to eye for half meter distance. Of course, it was October, so deer blared out all the night...I think, another month would be better time for staying and sleep there, maybe. Sure we try to return there someday.

We were invited to a wedding at the Gasthof Kleefeld and it the atmosphere was great. The food was really good and the staff was very helpful and polite.
The highlight for my husband was the animals around for sure.
We are planning on coming back.

You can walk around and enjoy looking at the animals and when you're tired, you can sit down and have a nice meal at the restaurant. It's a wonderful fuse of wild and tame.

Beautiful views over the deer park and a fish and game menu in the restaurant. Very high quality food in a recently refurbished, but still traditional setting.

Has really good food including roasted deer and other traditional Austrian food. Also there is a small petting zoo with bunnies and goats.

Amazing food. Very good prices and the animals are very cute and interesting.
