MONDI Hotel am Grundlsee

This beautiful resort providing well-rounded services is on a small hill by Grundlsee. Breathtaking views of the lake and the east end of the Alpine Mountains are just within a few minutes' walk.

We were very pleased with our accomodation, service and location of this resort. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Although it was our first stay, certainly it wasn’t last. See you soon!

Everything is great! But Breakfast is kind of pricy. People are amazing, but I missed some room service with food or any local delivery. Comfortable and relaxing place for sure.

This resort is so beautiful. We stayed in a self catering room. The rooms were very clean and equipped. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. All amenities were good. The view from our rooms are the reason why I would love to go back.

One of the best winter resorts I've ever been to.

First of all this place is newly renovated. Everything feels brand new and newly decorated.

The spa is stunning too, albeit busy on rainy days. They have a hot sauna, wet sauna, and IR (infrared, I know puzzling??) sauna. Please be advised sauna in the nude for both male and female is normal here.

The food is delicious and to my pleasant surprise traditional.

Great amenities for kids, the reception staff is very well trained and helpful.

There is ample parking, however on busy days expect a short walk back.

The View!! Well, the accommodation is why you come, but the view is why you'll stay...

10/10 would return! Must see in my view (pun intended)!!

We've been in Mondi twice and would gladly come back! It is just an amazing place to recharge your batteries away from the hustle of the city. Location is like from fairytale. These breakfasts on the terrace with lake and mountains view are unforgettable. You just don't want to leave this place. Wooden houses are very cosy and authentic. The quality of food is very good as well - many local products from the nearby villages. It is also pet-friendly. I usually don't like to come back to the same hotel but this place is just unique, would be back again and again.

It's really beautiful. I could spend days just watching the view, the mountains and the water. It's mesmerizing.

The Location of the Hotel was Fantastic. It was near the lake . The rooms were so clean and daily house keeping. The Staffs were so polite and gentle. We were family and had a very nice time during our stay. we really enjoyed. We like to visit again. Thanks to MONDI Hotel am Grundlsee for providing a memorable time in our life.

We spent Christmas here couple of years ago and I can’t recommend this place enough. The rooms are pretty basic but functional. The view of the lake and nearby mountains is breathtaking. There are plenty of options for breakfast and food is of very good quality. There is a decent size swimming pool in the main building.

I was so impressed by this resort and especially the service that was provided. I even misplaced a piece of my jewelry whilst staying in their resort and to my surprise it was not only handed in to their lost and found department but they even paid for it to be shipped to me (after I’d left the hotel & country) and would not accept my request to return the money to them for the cost of shipping. To me, this is an example of not only an indication of trustworthy staff and guests that they attract, but also an indication of how far they are willing to go to ensure the guest is happy and leaves with a positive experience from their resort. This type of service and work ethic is lacking in so many hotels and industries worldwide. I will forever recommend Mondi am Grundslee resort and would definitely return. The surroundings are also extremely beautiful and relaxing, the air is very clean and I also loved that they were dog friendly. Thank you Mondi am Grundlsee! Xx

We would recommend the resort and the area of Grundlsee and Bad Aussee to anyone who wants beautiful mountain views, crystal clear rivers, amazing walking and biking. The Mondi staff was extremely helpful, especially the front desk who helped us with local recommendations, transit, and even helped us find a local fishing guide to teach us fly fishing. The staff and locals all spoke English and we had no problems with communication. Food at the on-site restaurant was excellent. The 3-lake boat tour was nice. Easy to get to on regional rail from Vienna. Recommend using the ÖBB app on your phone for trains and bus tickets and travel plans in Austria.

The best place close to Hallstatt. 25 minutes to drive, has the same view for lake and mountains, only the city centre vibes are better in Hallstatt. Hotel it self very comfy, pool, sauna, kids room I was satisfied and will come back again!

When we initially booked, we never imagined it would be too beautiful. One of the best locations and best resorts we have ever visited. It has a really nice lake side view. Beautiful restaurant and amenities. We really enjoyed our time we spent there.

We had a great stay at this hotel last weekend when we were in the Grundlsee area for a friend's wedding.
The views of the Grundlsee are absolutely gorgeous, I cannot imagine that any other hotel in the area could possibly compete. You can walk down to the lake from the chalets in less than 5 minutes.
The rooms are very simple but very well equipped. We needed more pillows and they were brought to the room as soon as we asked.
What was a really lovely surprise was the quality of food in the restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous! It was beautifully warm and sunny and sitting on the terrace looking down to the lake, having lunch was a completely unexpected treat.
Breakfast was really good too. Lots of selection, warm and cold. The staff and servers were very attentive and friendly.
We want to return here with our kids and are planning to do so over the Summer.

Amazing Stay here in Mondi. For my taste: 5 starts. Perfect service, traditional rooms, very cozy, perfect location, amazing breakfast, had a dinner in the restaurant - also excellent! Spa area is amazing - we could use the spa after the check out 💗 perfect location: go on a hike, walk or swim on the lake - everything is reachable by walking

Beautiful hotel with great views. The rooms are a hit or miss. Some are really beautiful and modern, some are old and their bathroom looks like out of a old hospital

We spent a wonderful week here. We were into our room well before check in time. That was very nice after a long train ride. The weather forecast is almost never right so be prepared to take advantage of random sunny weather. Would recommend a car to see the many things the surrounding area provides. Restaurant has an amazing collection of superb local and non-local favorites.

The activities provided by the wonderful Simone are worth every Euro. Sign up early for the full week to save your spot. Yoga was a great way to get going in the morning. Taking the boat on the lake to see Halstatt at night was an unforgettable experience. Simone was very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and gave many great tips on what to do and see.

We will hopefully be back with friends and family. Stay here to launch your central Austrian lake and mountain adventure!
