Pfarrkirche Maria-Wörth (Hl. Primus und Felizian)

i cannot explain exactly why, i have always been partial toward small chapels ...the underrated elegance that comes in smaller sizes, in inconspicuous location, often without any crowd, always holds special appeal to my senses. and this one is a fine example of it. the small peninsula (the town of maria wörth) it sits on is beautiful esp in the sunset. funny enough that we spotted the village and the church while on top of the Pyramid observation tower - its black/white exterior and classic austrian style steeple stood out in the sea of blue and green.

Nice place to explore. You can enter the crypta, the frescos are really interesting and beautiful, also an amazing view on the lake. This is gonna sound weird, but the people buried around there are so lucky, to be able to rest there, as some of the graves have a stunning “view” of the lake 😅

Lovely little chapel tucked away on the side of the half island.
The interior is amazingly detailed and goes back a century or two (can't quite recall the date).
The chapel itself is enveloped by a beautiful cemetary with wild flowers growing everywhere and a gorgeous view of the lake.

A small and quaint place but with beautiful views. Nice place to chill, meditate and relax. And the Pfarr Maria Wörth-Roman Catholic Kirche is just close by. A tip, need to dress appropriately so you can get inside. No short pants allowed. And on the other side, there's a small picnic place with a small restaurant. And the Shifffahrt Station is there too.

Nice view on the Wörthersee. Nice lawn, a few beach chairs, an ice cream shop, what else can you wish for on a sunny summer day? Maybe some shade! There is some shade at the ice cream shop and there is also some shade on the back part of lawn in the afternoon.

Notice: I didn't see people go swimming in this part of the lake, so maybe it's not allowed or not so popular because of the boats. I actually never saw a boat dock or depart, so I think it would be perfectly safe to swim here most of the time.

There is very cozy city!

Stunning spot. So picturesque. I was lucky to be here when a guys was playing an old horn on the grassy hills.
