We were here two nights in a row because of the charming owner; lovely little restaurant away from the busyness of the main street. I highly recommend the spinach soup too!

A lovely family-run, no fuss, Italian restaurant. The food was fresh and the service was prompt and friendly (pretty rare in Austria in my experience). They pour a proper glass of wine too! We were able to get a table without a reservation or waiting on a day when everything's closed (Jan 1) so make of that what you will. I would eat here again if we were staying longer!

Decent Italian restaurant with sympathic owner and a cook. We were served quick and our order was well prepared and delicious. Ideal place for a good meal for a very reasonable price for Salzburg's central location. A bit obsolete equipment makes this place even more charming.

This is the second night we have visited this restaurant and the waiter remembered us from the night before, had a laugh and joke with our young daughter before asking if we had enjoyed our day, the food was lovely just like the night before, daughter had a pizza wife and myself had the schnitzel which was lovely, choice between potatoes or chips. Plus the beer was lovely after a day of walking . Quick update, we came back to the restaurant for the rest of our time in saltzburg, another 2 days, and again the food was always lovely, even had one dish changed to suit. Waiter’s/ owner always friendly and always remembered what we was going to be up to that day. Thank you for making us always feel welcome , and hope to be back next year

Ignore the bad reviews, I loved this place.
The service was super fast and my pizza was AMAZING. The prices weren’t bad nor did I have a bad experience with the waiter. He was a nice man and very efficient.
My pizza was really good and I’d come back again!

Exactly what we were looking for - casual spot with well priced food and a great atmosphere. Service was prompt and the food was good. Sitting out on the street and taking in Salzburg nightlife was a joy.

Ignore the bad reviews. This place has great food and service.

We only checked reviews after seating. Thank goodness, the unreasonable bad reviews may have meant we avoided this place. That would have been sad because I would have missed out on an exceptional steak with an abundant and delicious sauce.
My girlfriend ate perfect calamari.
The older gentleman serving us and running around like crazy keeping up turned out to be the boss.
A great example for his team.

Great service and fantastic food, not good at speaking German, waiter was brilliant, talking to us about the menu, made it easy to choose. Enjoyed the local beer too

A quick search and 33 reviews on yelp with descriptive comments led me to this place.
It was much better than the expectations after having visited Italy 2 weeks before.

Aperol Spirits: perfect.
Quattro formagio Pizza: best ever till date
Salmon ravioli with saffron sauce: like a fine dine dish from a Michelin star chef.
Spaghetti with Fish: quite tasty, much better than regular spaghetti I had in Italy.
Tortellini with spinach and 5 Gorgonzola: Heavenly creamy and subtle spinach. It was screaming freshness.
Vegetable Pizza: quite good no complaints. I had best one in Venice @Al Fontico.
Lasagna Verdure: No complaints as it was quite good. Probably overshadowed by the other dishes.

Highly recommend this place. Good food doesn’t always mean burning holes in pocket.

We found this place after strolling through the winding streets of Salzburg. Mr. Ferdinand runs this 100 year old place set up by Romans. An old man with a friendly smile and running from kitchen to table- this was our encounter with him. Though prior booking is good, he was generous enough to confirm a seat. We had mushroom pizza and veggie lasagna. We have never such a mouth -watering pizza and lasagna in our life. It was too good. we would recommend it to everyone.

I must say this was one of the best restaurant dining experiences I've had in a while.
The staff was very friendly and moved very quickly, everyone was assertive and wanted to fullfil our needs and even changed their menu around for people if they didn't want exactly what was written in it (for example change pasta for fries in a dish)
The food was amazing (i strongly recommend the pizza capriciosa)
The drinks were great and everything came at a fair price, especially for Salzburg.
Went there 3 times in 2 days, one of the best pizzas i have ever eaten, i will go again if i get the chance. Plus points for their ability to speak multiple languages fluently, not only German.

I don’t really follow the negative reviews on this one. Have eaten here several times, food is delicious. You can watch them make it through a window. The owner is energetic but very kind. Someone suggested he is rude to kids. Our 17month old was being especially challenging and he was great to him.

Anyway, please check this place out. Good food, good location, good prices.

Cheapest and lovely food in Salzburg. Its very cheap and they were open xmisday and eve. Worth visiting!!!!

We had a great night with the family walking in the old town , and in the end, we had a great dinner in this restaurant , we enjoyed the pizza and the pasta.
The staff are friendly and the menu is great selection of Italian food, and the price were in average.

A hidden gem in Old Town Salzburg. A pizza place, yes, but the menu also includes pasta, veal dishes and seafood. A cozy place. Ferdinand, the owner, is a great guy, always engaging his customers and working to get them what they want. There are good beer and wine options, of course. This is Salzburg.

Our hands down favorite restaurant in Salzburg and our all time favorite pizza . The place is magical. We day trip from Munich just to eat here.
