A very authentic Austrian restaurant! We made a reservation and had a very nice table outside. Food was delicious! It is tucked away in an alley and up a flight of stairs, but easy to find with Google maps. Very reasonable prices, and the servers were very friendly and accommodating.

The food was very good. The roast pork in sauce was delicious. The cheese Spatzel had a little too many toppings. The spinach ravioli was good. Nice atmosphere.

The service was excellent. Lovely waiter and waitress. The food was amaziiing and so quick, we were so hungry and the food just come so fast. I couldn’t get over how good the wienerschnitzel and the Kaiserschmarrn. 100% recommend when you go to Salzburg.

We went here cause we found it on Google. It was close to the castle and we were looking for a dinner spot. The service was excellent and very friendly. The food was delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel and the Schweinebraten were amazing. Highly recommended.

The perfect place to taste typical food from Salzburgo. Quantity is enough. We ordered kasnockel and ofenkartoffel and I would definitely recommend these meals. We wanted to take some dessert, but we were completely full.

That’s Austria in a nutshell!! Unbelievable! Best Kasnockn I’ve ever had in my life. The perfect mix of crispy and soft cheese combined with fresh „spätzle“. As a starter I recommend the „hausbier“. The atmosphere is cozy, old wood on the walls, some nice Lederhosen everywhere and the service is making a great job too.
Don’t miss the zirbenschnaps to wrap it up!
Thank you for the wonderful evening

Beautiful place, delicious food, massive portions, good prices and super friendly staff. 10/10, by far the best restaurant we visited in this region of Austria.

The fried pancake pieces in rum are a must try as is the beer and pretzel cheese soup.

What a find!

Didn’t have a reservation but as a party of 2 we were accommodated on a nice table in the corner with no problem. The place feels very authentic with wooden panelled walls and every table clearly having a very enjoyable time.

To put is simply, the food was amazing! One had roast pork, dumpling and cabbage, the other pork in a pan with potato, bacon, sliced dumpling and cabbage.

Very prompt service throughout and would highly recommend.

Probably the best Austrian food I had during my stay in Vienna/Salzburg. Everything was great. The atmosphere, the watering, the food, the price. They accommodated a smaller portion of a dish for my 5 year old and got a small discount on the price. It's lively, a bit tight inside, so make sure it's appropriate for your party. There's a terrace but it was full because someone was celebrating their birthday.

Fantastic Austrian restaurant (inn, pub?) With all the classics. A little hidden and off the beaten path up some stairs, it's beautiful inside with a hidden away beer garden. The service is very friendly and the food very tasty. The schnitzel was crispy, light and full of flavour, balancing really well with the potato and cranberry. The beer is tasty and plentiful. It's a good place to eat, relax and experience traditional Austrian cuisine. Dessert is also good!

Absolutely lovely food, kind and attentive service, and cozy cabin atmosphere. Great value for a special dining experience. I wish I came here twice! Ensure you make a reservation to get a seat!

I had the homemade ravioli with mountain cheese, onion, and fresh Parmesan plus salad, white wine (Gelber Muskateller), and the seasonal dessert: lemon cake with mango ice cream. I usually have trouble finishing portions as they are quite big in Austria but ate the entire main, it was so good. The lemon cake was mild and not too strongly lemon flavoured, and the ice cream was okay (not sure what I was expecting maybe not as a flavourful as a sorbet). The dessert was good but I might've preferred the chocolate cake or Kaiserschmarrn instead.

We were lucky to have a bar table without reservation. But I liked the spot to have some space for ourselves and also had a chance to talk to the staffs having some recommendations. Foods were great, especially a special menu they had (soup with cheese). Friendly staffs and nice atmosphere 👍

We had read some great reviews about the restaurant, all of which turned out to be true. The stuff here was super attentive and made sure they checked on us in brief intervals. We had the pork roast and the ravioli which was amazing. For dessert we had some apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream which was fantastic as well. We also ended up meeting the owner on our way out who was a really nice individual. Spoke to us for a while and we discovered that he is at the restaurant everyday. He cooks the sauce used in the pork roast himself. No wonder everyone speaks highly about this restaurant.

This has been my favorite restaurant so far in my stay in Salzburg. I loved the food, it's delicious, the size and price seem good to me. The waitress is very friendly and helpful, the place is small but cozy, they have their own beer which is very good. Thanks to the waitress and the cook for making my experience there so great and welcoming on my first trip to Salzburg.

Randomly found this highly reviewed restaurant on google. The restaurant was packed but our host was kind to accommodate us without reservation. Super friendly and prompt service. Wiener schnitzel was crispy outside and tender inside, potato salad was really delicious.

Super cozy place, and the staff is very nice and polite

The food was also amazing, and very fairly priced

One important thing is to always remember to call and reserve the seats, the place is quite small and the chance that you don’t find a table is big

I’m no Bavarian but I certainly felt emerged in the culture at this restaurant. The roast pork in beer sauce was lovely and the portion was generous. The atmosphere is there and I would recommend. Accessible access would make this place 100/100.
