Hidden gem between majestic mountains where coziness and atmosphere breath at you from every inch. The food is exquisite, the best warm blueberry strudel I’ve eaten, good coffee, lovely service, and have I meantioned the atmosphere? Also, they organize weddings!

LOVED coming here. Such an authentic experience. We took a horse-drawn carriage ride up to Unterhof Alm and then had a late lunch/early dinner. It was such a romantic, authentic, rustic and cozy experience. I loved coming inside to a wood-burning fireplace and delicious hot soup and warm meals. The Kaiserschmarrn was excellent and according to my mom the blood sausage was very good as well. We also really enjoyed the kasnocken and my husband said the schnitzel was one of the best that he had while we were in Austria.
Sitting outside also looked super enticing with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains. We were just kind of chilly after the horse carriage ride and wanted to warm up. I'd imagine this would make for a wonderful stop on a hike in the summer time as well.

So cozy and warm. Very cute and very Austrian atmosphere. Good food and friendly service. We went with a horse carriage.

Great place. I highly recommend the Bergsteiger suppe. Great terrace in summer time, gets very lively with bi-hourly musical outings and horseback riding with carriage.

A lovely mountain cottage serving as a restaurant, we had kaiserschmaren and it was delicious, served with plums here instead of apples. The tables are placed in small rooms connected one to another, the interior is cosy and traditional, with wooden furniture and a fireplace. We highly recommend this place.

We hiked to Hofpürglhütte from there (not easy, around 1.5 hours uphill). Amazing views, worth walking in the area and staying for the sunset

Real, traditional Austrian Alm-restaurant. You are totally in the Alps when you visit this place! The surrounding of the Dachstein is beautiful!

Gezellige gelegenheid om een hapje en/of een drankje te nuttigen. Je kijkt uit op schitterende bergen en de Bischoffs Mutze. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en heerlijke koffie en Apfelstrudel. Puur genieten op het grote terras met parasols. Je kan in de buurt gratis parkeren. Schitterende omgeving om te wandelen, bijvoorbeeld naar de Almsee. Wij komen hier al een paar jaar, om even te pauzeren tijdens 1 van de vele schitterende wandelroutes. Echt een authentieke Oostenrijkse hut.
