Incredibly welcoming, superbly professional, and excellent staff. The dental work was very efficient and straight to the point. The office and work areas were perfectly clean, which is a big deal for me, so I was even more comfortable.

It was easy to find and also great getting to look out at the water before my session. Definitely would recommend Basinview to anybody who requires dental work done by straightforward staff with professional and chill personalities.

I don’t normally leave reviews for places or things, however it was such a great experience I just HAD to share the fantastic time spent there. Now I don’t need to feel nervous about going to see the dentist anymore!

I have been to this dental practice twice and on both occasions, I was extremely pleased. During my first visit, Anya made an excellent first impression and during my second visit, Shantel cleaned my teeth with great care and professionalism. Both clinicians took immense care to ensure that everything was thoroughly attended to. Additionally, the dentist was very empathetic and provided me with a comprehensive treatment plan for improving my oral health. I’d like to also mention the receptionist. Both time she seemed very well organized and welcoming.

When I walked in the front door I felt relaxed and at ease, even when I left after my appointment was done and have had four appointments since.
The assistants and hygienists are friendly as well as Dr. Haslam, who was great with my fillings, I felt no pain or discomfort even when I got home!
They were fast and on point and had me calm at all times, especially with the amazing view of the Annapolis basin.
Will definitely be returning for more great service and dental work.

I love knowing that they are well educated and always willing to improve and advance. They truly go above and beyond! The facility is stunning from the outside but I assure you it is a home away from home with a spa-like, ocean view experience!

These folks are amazing. Being scared of the dentist myself as a kid, I was worried about the experience for my kids. We have been going there for 7 years now and they are absolutely wonderful with children, and all of the hygienists are so patient, my kids love going! Setting a good foundation at a young age is so important. Dr Haslam is also absolutely amazing with kids. He enjoys educating the kids, and is very personable. He has even done some work on my kids, that initially was being referred to Halifax. He did great and not a tear was shed! They are accommodating when need be. I highly recommend!

First visit to Basinview Dental today and my expectations were exceeded. The positive patient experience is clearly the collective goal of each staff member I encountered today. Information on required work was clearly related to me with details explained and questions answered in a comfortable conversation, not pushy and not rushed. I would highly recommend their practice.

My past experience with Basinview Dental has always been a friendly painless experience. Dentistry has come a long way since I first started seeing a dentist 70 years ago. The new Basinview Dental clinc is well equipped with the latest technology to ensure quick professional treatments. An added bonus is the peaceful view of the Annapolis Basin from your comfortable dental chair. It 's all good.

Just came from the dentist, I’m 60 and I was having my first cavity filled, Dr Luke is amazing, I was there maybe 10 minutes, I didn’t even feel the freezing! I have to say I have never met such wonderful dental hygienists and staff! I was always afraid of the dentist, but I’m not anymore. If you have any fear of the dentist I recommend that you go see them, they really put you at ease.

Honestly, best dental office I’ve ever been to. I took my two boys,(4 & 9) there and the staff were incredible with them! Dr. Haslam and the assistants were amazing and had them in and out in no time and made them and myself feel at home. They gave my boys a patient exam and helped them get through it with all the different instruments and xrays. All in all I was impressed with the level of devotion to the patients and made my boys, who’ve had scary dentist experiences in the past with other offices, feel relaxed and free from any fear from past experiences. Not even one complaint of pain or discomfort from either of them!

I had heard very good things about Dr Haslam and Basinview Dental. I was told to expect a wait but its understandable, as all dental/medical appointments are on a wait list.
I had my new patient exam, it was extremely thorough and my dental conditions were explained very well. The same tooth that I was told previously needed a filling at another office, was the same diagnosis by Dr Haslam.
The hygienist was very gentle, the admin girls were very helpful.
I have definitely recommend Dr Haslam and Basinview Dental to my family and friends.

I am over the moon happy with my entire experience.
I received X-rays because I was a new client and I was glad of it. First of all, I have never had a dentist compliment me on the good work I had already had done in the past. I was talked through everything that had been done and the two points that needed attention. I forgot to mention I came in with a broken tooth. This one did need immediate attention but for the second Tooth he did give me options for me to think about.
I was over joyed with the experience and results with my new crown so much that I decided to get the second one done as well.
They say that you can tell what the boss is like based on the attitude of the staff. Well I have to say that Dr. Luke Haslam seems to have it right.
I would and have already recommended him.
I can’t wait to see the new location when it’s complete.

We love Dr Haslam! He has been our dentist since we moved to town about 6 years ago. He and his staff are friendly and professional. They are also very understanding of financial constraints and will tell you what work need to be done immediately and what can wait. They are also great with kids (& understanding when they are uncooperative & we needed to reschedule). I have had to bring my boys since they were born & the staff is welcoming and accommodating. There is no change table in the washroom but the TV in the waiting room keeps the kids busy if there's a wait.

Basinview Dental staff are very professional and thorough, I've always had a great experience. They've got a brand new, meticulously cleaned office too!

I was a patient of Dr Haslum for a period of 2+ years. I was extremely happy with his professionalism and his staff. They were more then willing to help in any way with juggling appointments as I was always on the road. I was very happy with all the dental work he performed on my teeth, from fillings, replacement fillings, to crown and replacement root canal that I had for many years :) I would highly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for a great, professional, up to date dentist and office staff. I moved to BC last fall and after much searching finally found a great dentist.

All the staff and Dr. Haslam are fantastic. All state of the art and new equipment, I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist!

I always called my dentist in Barrie, ON a ‘rock star’ - because he had all the latest tools and gadgets and did such an amazing job with my teeth. I was initially worried about moving to Digby and having to find a dentist as good as what I had become accustomed to - but then I found Dr Haslam. After replacing THREE fillings WITHOUT A NEEDLE - all I can say is, Dr Haslam is a ‘rock legend’. The teeth look amazing - and there was no swelling to suffer through afterwards. I may have to sit a bit longer in the waiting room, but that is a small price to pay when the office staff have worked so hard to reschedule appointments due to bad weather and time constraints. So very happy with the whole package.
