Heads Up Hair & Body Spa

Was in Coquitlam for my cousins wedding and decided last minute that I wanted to get my hair done. Did a bit of research and decided to give Heads up a try. Called them as soon as they opened for a same day appointment. They fit me in for 11.30 for a 90 minute appointment. I was charged $73 plus tax for a wash, blow dry and updo. I think the stylists name was bri or pri but she did a fantastic job. Unlikely that ill visit again since I live in Toronto but I loved the service i got.

I needed my colour touched up and was able to book in with Alyssa within a week of when I wanted. She did a fantastic job at colour correcting my hair, brightening it up, and most importantly listening to what I wanted to do! Her prices were extremely reasonable as she is a newer stylist, so if you’re on a budget I would highly recommend you check her out. She has the calmest, friendliest personality and doesn’t force small talk if you don’t want it (which the introverted extrovert side of me loves). Super happy with my hair colour and cut, will definitely be back!

I feel very lucky to have found Alyssa after years of struggling to find a new stylist after my previous one moved away. Alyssa truly listens and understands my requests and I always leave satisfied. Was disappointed when I called heads up to book with her and discovered that she was no longer working there. Luckily after searching for stylists at my local salon, I was pleased to see that she is now at in a wink in port coquitlam! Five stars for Alyssa!

After 1 year I came back today to this salon and met the adorable hairdresser Slava! She was great, super friendly and professional. I love my hair cut! Will come back soon!♥

1st review 12/21: I tried this salon today for the first time after my friend highly recommended them and I am very satisfied with the services provided!I got a haircut with Lynn and I just loved it! She is an amazing, friendly professional who knows what she is doing! She not only cut my hair but also curled it, which I loved! I loved the personalized service! The salon is very clean, organized, great location and affordable price! I will come back for sure! I highly recommend them!

I think it’s somewhat universal for girls growing their hair out to be nervous about how much a hair stylist will cut off when it comes to a trim. Today, Atousa cut my hair and completely nailed it! She made absolutely sure how much I wanted to take off and didn’t go off the plan. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable as a first timer to the salon. Will definitely be back!

I always go to get my hair done by Alyssa. She is the only person I trust to do my hair and she does an outstanding job every single time. She has done my hair for grad as well as pageant events. She is the sweetest person and super easy to talk to. I definitely recommend getting your hair done by her.

I'm so glad i found out that this salon has a curl specialist! I've never had my hair properly done until now as most stylist are not trained in curly hair... Slava is literally amazing! My hair went from flat, clumpy curls to voluminous and full-looking. She's now my go-to! Pricing is also fair for the value of the work! 100% all curly girls should get their hair done by Slava!

I've tried for the first time Heads up hair & Body spa and I absolutely loved it.
Sunny was my hairdresser and he did an amazing job. Did my hair exactly the way I wanted it. I will definitely go back to him again. Highly recommend!

I recently had Botox done for my hair at Heads Up and I couldn't be happier with the results! Amilia and Nasrin were welcoming and did an amazing job on repairing my damaged hair. If you're looking for a friendly, reliable salon for excellent hair repair, I highly recommend Heads Up.

Five stars for Alyssa!!!

I'm a hairdresser myself, and I have to have my extensions matched so I know the ropes. I usually see Jerry, he's talented and a lovely person, but you have to book really far in advance to see him, but I also saw Sonny and he was fantastic as well. They both matched my expectations seamlessly.
Both Jerry and Sonny listened to exactly what I wanted and we worked out a plan. Now all I have to do is maintenance. Everytime I'm there, all the other stylists are putting out great work, and the atmosphere is lively and friendly.
The prices are extremely reasonable and they have a great retail selection. Plus, they're open mall hours so it's easier to get flexibility in appointments.

Finally I have found my perfect hair stylist in the town. Alyssa is one of the best one i have found. I was so scared of changing my hair colour, specially when it comes to bleach. But Alyssa handled it really well and she was so patience and funny at the same time. I am so happy with my hair and thanks a lot Alyssa.

Slava has a huge gift with layers. What a great price, great service, her direct personable and professional demeanor makes her a true joy. I always feel as beautiful on the inside as when I walk out the door.

I was in need of a last minute haircut so I booked with Sunny. He was so attentive and listened to all my needs. It was one of the best haircuts I’ve had! I am so happy with my cut, and the service provided by Sunny

After moving from Ontario 4 1/2 years ago I have tried multiple salons in the tri cities area, none of which left me happy with the end result. Jerry at Heads Up Hair was recommended in a Facebook group by a self proclaimed "picky person" so I thought I'd try him. I have found my new hairdresser, Jerry was fantastic! He took care of small details when colouring my hair, things other hairdressers have not done that he did not have to do - I wouldn't have known any differently. I left very happy with my cut and colour, it was exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be back.

I've been a client of Sunny's for the past 8 years, and he is an outstanding hair stylist with a wealth of experience in the industry. He exudes professionalism, pleasantness, and trustworthiness. Sunny listens attentively to my needs and offers valuable recommendations. Thanks to his expertise, I consistently receive compliments on my hair!

I had the BEST experience working with Sunny back in April 2023. I hadn't had a haircut in 3+ years while operating as a stay at home parent with my young family. My hair was a complete mess. I was going back to work and needed a total refresh. I also needed great and easy products to support my new haircut. Sunny did a fantastic job educating me about my hair type and how to care for my hair; he also invested time in walking me through how to achieve the style I wanted with the tools he recommended. I walked out of the salon absolutely loving my new cut. AND - this is the important part - I was able to duplicate the styling at home, all by myself!! The kind and patient coaching Sunny provided, in conjunction with the products he recommended helped me achieve the same great style he provided me with. I'll be the first to admit that I struggle with styling my own hair - but Sunny's coaching totally came to the rescue. I just went in today to touch up my hair dye and trim the short side of my hair. I’m a bit out of the box with my style and colour choice but both times I worked with Alyssa and she was amazing! Takes a while to do but she’s incredible at it and really takes time to have conversations with you while it’s happening and makes whole process go by in no time! Would definitely recommend working with her if you’re looking to dye your hair. Especially if you’re out of the box like me 😜

So far throughout my life I have only gotten bad haircuts, but today I got one and the person cutting my hair (Nina) took her time to properly cut my hair and they were very friendly in doing so. Definitely coming back in the future.

Sonny is excellent. I have long, thick hair and most salons will take ~5.5 hrs for full highlights. Sonny did it in 3.5 including a cut. He blended the highlights and 'thinned' my hair without making it look too layered- he listened perfectly to what I wanted - it worked beautifully, and I'm happy with it. The pricing was better than other salons.
