It was a worthwhile experience. We were there at low tide and were able to walk out on dry land. According to Google Maps we were about a mile away from the shore out into the sea. My grandkids found lots of interesting stonesand seashells. We also had a neat little science lesson about seaweed that adapted to surviving on dry land and underwater. We ended with a hike to a neat little waterfalls.

Very nice big beach. Water was a bit chill today 🤣. Can be a long walk to the water when the tide is out.

We did part of the Borden brook trail, but the park has a lot more to offer. The trail could be icy if it has recently rained, so it can be a little risky to do in winter. We will definitely visit this park again. There are campgrounds available in summer as well.

Terrific provincial park in the Valley of Nova Scotia. Spectacular views, and seasonal campground. The 6.4 or so km loop of a hike (1.5 hr) is challenging in parts (roots, steep, mud), but so worth the vistas. Not for beginners, but the stairs down to the beach are good for those who want to picnic and relax.

Spectacular!

Nice spot for a visit or day trip. Best to go when the tide is out some so you can walk.

Nice hidden gems. Watch out for the tide changes or you will get trapped on one side.

Happy to see progress on the new stairs. Building them properly, with concrete and steel, ensures they will provide access to visitors for a very long time.

No matter what time of year, this is a beautiful spot. Lots of trails to walk.
If you plan to walk the beach do it as the tide is going out so you have the most time.
