Art Can Kitchen and Studios

I’ve visited the ArtCan many times over the years, and it never disappoints. Delicious food with options for vegans and vegetarians. Wonderful coffee. The atmosphere is divine. There’s nothing not to like at this beautiful spot!

Fab food and service. Loved our stop there and would definitely go again. Wife had the mixed media trio which was out of this world and I had the borscht which was soooo good.

Our go to lunch spot. The food is always fresh and inspiring. We've tried everything on the menu. Our favourites are The Classicist, The Romanesque and the Acadian Shores. Any time the house-made Focaccia is available that is a must! No fried food here, just delicious, healthy goodness.

Cafe with beautiful view and lovely menu. This is a rare restaurant menu in Nova Scotia that do not have deep fry food all over the place. Every dish we ordered comes out delightful, fresh and just spot on. Probably the most tasty food for anyone who love healthy and fresh food. I like how they name the menu and how all the ingredients come together just right.

Chef Michaela is brilliant in her absolutely delicious and colourful healthy menu creations! Exquisitely-prepared light lunches and treats, amazing coffees, and a fabulous view. There's always a selection of amazing vegan and/or vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Definitely a place to partake in great food and atmosphere in Canning, Nova Scotia!

The Caesar Salad here is the best i ever had and the coffee is amazing also. This is such a nice quiet little space to stop for lunch if your in the Canning area. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone in the Canning area who wants a good lunch.

I love everything about this place: the food, the service and the place itself. Full of artwork that makes it worth a visit for that alone. Not that many tables so it feels quite private. A perfect lunch destination.

Delicious meal and homemade beverages. Sweet staff. I had a tasty salad and soup. Husband's gluten-free beef with horseradish sauce sandwich and soup was so good. We shared a slice of cake. Not cheap food, but mindful, fresh and lovingly prepared.

Dropped in for quick lunch and food was perfect including vegan options, with very hospitable service. Hope to be back sometime.

Great place located in the beautiful village of Canning.
Stopped in today just for coffee but I noticed they have yummy desserts and lunches .
Nice to sit inside with the view and beautiful art.
Cant wait to enjoy a lunch here sometime as i see they have vegan options as well .

December 2020... Delicious lunches at Art Can Studio and Cafe in Canning. Michaela is masterful at blending fresh flavours. It's fun to explore the artwork while waiting for your meal or after eating. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with a view of the beautiful Habitant River Get on over to Canning!

2 years ago... Beautiful, clean, spacious studio space, gallery, art supplies, workshops, and friendly cafe with great scenery and ever greater service.
Delicious fare! Ideally located in charming Canning, at the hub of numerous trails, beaches, and the spectacular Bay of Fundy.

Enjoyed the photo exhibit and also the paintings on display! Worth the visit and although the food part wasn't open due to covid-19 it sure looks like it will be worth a return trip!! Very pleased!

Excellent food, friendly staff who go out of their way to satisfy your dietary needs.
