We had such a great date night at Stickleback. The weather was terrific this weekend and we couldn’t wait to check out their patio. It did not disappoint! The chill country music playing, the drinks and food was such a vibe! The ocean views and mountain in the background were spectacular. Service was awesome and the food was delicious! Thanks for a great evening of dinner & drinks! We can’t wait to come back!!

Great spot on the water! Food was so good and the portions were big. Really liked the local cider and beer served. Our waitress was really friendly and checked in on us regularly.

Stickleback Oceanfront Cider & Taphouse is an exceptional spot, especially after a long cycle from Victoria on the Goose. This place is not just a restaurant; it's an experience, with stellar views that are as memorable as the food is delicious. In my opinion, it stands out as one of the best, if not the very best restaurant in the Sooke area. It's my preferred stop and turnaround point on bike rides out this way. They've thoughtfully included spots to park your bike, making it incredibly convenient for cyclists. On a beautiful summer day, the picturesque scenery with mountain views is simply unbeatable. A perfect blend of great food, breathtaking views, and cyclist-friendly amenities. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a scenic and satisfying dining experience.

Had an excellent lunch at this cozy spot today. Nice view, excellent service and super tasty food. It’s also very clean. We look forward to trying more!

Incredibly gorgeous views from the dining room. I'd imagine even more fantastic in the Spring & Summer from three outdoor patio overlooking the ocean inlet. The food & service were amazing & I'd definitely return!

Best brunch in a while - went there to catch up with some friends and the view is amazing.

We had dinner at the Stickleback restaurant our first night in Sooke. We were welcomed warmly and had a lovely conversation with Leah. Justin, the chef, is a magician. Tasty food. The fish'n'chips were exactly what we needed. And the dessert was rich and flavourful. We came back two days later for lunch - the seafood chowder. Highly recommended.

We're visiting East Sooke for the weekend and just had some takeout from here. The honey garlic chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious! If we didn't have our dog with us, I would definitely opt to dine in as the view of the water would add a wonderful atmosphere for date night. There is seating outside as well as a patio. Will keep here on the list for the next time we come around.

Delicious home style and home flavours in the soup we had. The wrap was hearty and good flavours balanced well. Very covid organized without being covid annoying!
Great coffee too. Just a little hard to pull into from either lane on the road - some signage would be a little easier to pull into their entry.

When strolling through the Fisherman's Wharf we discovered this lovely Cafe across from the park. Delicious drinks, kind service and lovely ambiance.

Definitely coming back here again! The food was delicious and the portions were fantastic for the prices. The pulled pork bowl tasted great and packed with flavour. The peanut were creamy, filling, and delicious. The yam fries were perfectly crispy with super well paired sauce. Happy to support a family owned business with an amazing staff an beautiful view.

TLDR: Eat here & make this a priority stop.

A hidden West Coadt Gem! The taphouse gives off an excellent vibe, serves a tasty and Imaginative menu of starts and mains (Top Mark's for the Schwarma, the Falafel, and the Cheese Steak).

The atmosphere, the scenery and the staff service are both outstanding! I'll be happily returning to enjoy the menu, the vibe, and the outdoor patio!
