Staff are friendly and helpful.The store is clean and organized.Pricing could stand to go down.

Very positive shopping experience for winter gear, not crowded at all and no waiting in line to get into the store. The sales associate, helped me find the right boot and provided me with tips for fitting, grip and other specs to decide between 2 boots. The checkout was smooth.

Excellent customer service! I was asked by every employee that I passed if I needed any help. Once I did need help, they were quick, polite, and went above and beyond. The store is just like any other sport chek but the employees are far better than I've ever seen at a sport chek.

The other week I was in sportchek and I was trying to find some Nike shorts and it was like everything was sold out, everyone seemed busy but I was kind of in a hurry and this young man, I’m not sure if I got the spelling chidera, he came to attend to me as I couldn’t figure out where anything was, he had to go to the back and check and he even brought me 2 options that I ended up liking even more he was quick and polite. The only sad part is the restroom was out of service but every other staff were so nice even the cashiers. That was my first time to the mall and I was greeted almost a million times (which I didn’t mind), the store was so well organized also I made a promise to myself that I’ll write a review about this store because they gave me 5 star service I’ll surely be coming back.

Matt, who runs the service shop helped me a ton when I bought my new pair of skates. As it was my first time he provided the basics of skate knot tying and untying which was super helpful.

I stopped in twice. Both occasions they didn’t have what I needed in my size (I have big feet lol) however they were absolute champs and had them put on hold at another store in the first instance. The second instance they had to get what I needed from a store in Guelph because I couldn’t there myself. So they made some calls and had it snagged to call me when they arrived in Waterloo. Absolute stunning team there! I feel bad it’s been a while since this interaction so I forget the individual employees names but the entire team was super friendly and helpful. I will be back. The names in the pic are the people who helped me!

I noted a pricing discrepancy. Item was marked lower than what it should have been. I didn't realize this until I went to cashier. I ended up dealing with Manager Jeff. He was awesome. He identified the issue and empathized with me immediately. Jeff is customer focused manager empowered to make important decisions to keep customers happy. Bravo Jeff! I look forward to my next Sport Chek purchase.

Fantastic customer service by Ethan today! Helped me find a new pair of walking shoes and answered every question I had with certainty. Some of these low rated google reviews are really funny and I would take it with a grain of salt. It’s a retail store at the end of the day.

It’s not the snakes or scorpions that worry me, it’s running into a pack of wild Peccaries. Next time you go in, ask for James and to try on the “white and Sandy’s”. Joops, guess I just trended all over. Tape it up for you later, dad.

Grant was great in the footwear section. He helped us find toddler boots that werent on display anywhere.

Today I was in the 550 KING STREET NORTH, UNIT N1,
WATERLOO, ON N2L 5W6 location and was o impressed with your employees.
I came out from my eye appointment and found I had a flat tire. The two guys working in the service department said they didn't have any pumps to purchase but they might be able to with manager permission. After receiving permission they took the air tank to my car and partly filled my tire so I could get to an air station. I love over 3 hours away and I am sooooo thankfull for these 2 fellas.
You restored an older lady's faith in humanity. 💕💕💕

My son was looking for a skateboard and the selection was extremely limited for what we wanted. A sales associate came over to advise us, and when he realized that they didn’t offer a good selection for what we wanted, he suggested we go to a nearby location (also in the mall) where they had a lot more skateboards. Amazing! Sending a client to a competitor might sound negative to some “by-the-book” store manager, but I think it was brilliant. We felt that he put customer service above anything. We wanted to purchase a board today, not have something ordered in or be sent to another Sport Chek. Yes, he lost a relatively small purchase today, but he confirmed our opinion that Waterloo Sport Chek has great staff who understand that excellent customer service makes satisfied customers… and of course we will be back for other purchases. Just not for skateboards. 🙂

Mathew is brilliant. I didn’t get to see him when making my purchase but i want everyone to know is he great and his service is impeccable. We encourage management to offer him a raise!
