Cafe Zen On Yew

A very cute and cozy cafe in a nice and quiet neighbourhood! They've got some pretty generous portions and some very well made egg bennies! It's a bit small, so there many be a line, but it's definitely worth the wait here. I highly recommend their waffles with whipped cream :)

Zen Cafe was delicious! I loved the poutine and the two egg Breakfast! It was awesome! The potatoes were the highlight! And I loved the grilled tomatoes more than I expected! Zen Cafe was good and extremely affordable, great option for brunch!

Gf bread is worth the visit, I had to ask to be sure because even my husband wasn’t sure. SO. GOOD.
The eggs were spectacular, love that they give a full tea pot for tea and unlimited coffee.
They play old country, and for me that’s beautiful. (Dolly, Patsy, Cash)

Omggg this was the best eggs benny I’ve ever had. Also the best waffle my bf has ever had. Such a cutie little place, we had a wonderful experience. I need to travel to Vancouver again just to eat at Zen Cafe

Without a doubt the best breakfast I've had in 6 years in Vancouver. I've had tastier items in other places, but this is 100% the best all rounder, and all I had was a standard 2 egg breakfast, they had much more exciting items on the menu too which I'm excited to try next time. Minimal wait time for a Sunday morning, after our order was taken food was out in about 4 minutes, and everything down to the toast was just great quality, large portion sizes, and best of all very affordable. Server (guy mid/late 20s with a moustache) was also very personable and knowledgeable. Definitely going to be our regular spot for weekend breakfast.

Super yummy! Tons of options, food comes out quick, and friendly servers. I got the veggie bagel melt. Not usually a hashbrown fan but these were really good and not greasy. Great breakfast spot!

This place is adorable! It is seat yourself so it’s nice not to wait for anyone to help you. Coffee is pretty average but really enjoyed their London fog! Impressed with their food as their Benny was SO delicious; they have so many options so you can customize your order and get two different ones! Bonus: our food came out super fast and they didn’t rush us out of the restaurant which was nice.

A classic breakfast place in kitsilano. Super affordable which is odd especially for the area. Getting the classic breakfast for 9 dollars makes me totally fine paying for more add ons which are given generously. I almost wanted less bacon. The patio is a bit unfortunate as it is in the sidewalk but it can be nice being outside

Are potatoes and toasts staples in your breakfast? Do you want the bang for your buck? Go to Cafe Zen! One of the best and delicious brunch places I’ve been to in awhile. It’s got such a cozy homey feeling and you can get a classic platter for only $12 on a Saturday! They have the best crispy hasbrowns (more like mini French fries) as well as super soft and buttery multigrain toast! The bacon Benny was delicious as well! 100% would go back!

Extremely good service, location, and food.
All of us thoroughly enjoyed our
meals and drinks, and the wait time was very quick. One of our party spilled their drink very soon after receiving it, and the server was immediately on scene to clean it up completely; also providing a replacement drink free of charge. Wonderful in all regards.

We had a great breakfast here, all our food are sooo good and our kids enjoyed their cereal infused drink. The lady that served us is very nice and pleasant.

Perfect Sunday brunch location! Adore all the different selection of egg Benedict. Great vale for a good amount of food. Friendly service and constant coffee refills. Can’t ask for anything more for a caffeine addict like me.

Such an amazing café! The service was top notch, our food arrived extremely quickly and tasted delicious. The only downside was how busy it was, but that's to be expected during the weekend.

Great place to have brunch. The portion is excellent and the food quality is also great. The staff is friendly and the whole place a nice cozy, familial feeling to it. Obviously it is a popular hangout for people in that are, so there can be a bit of a wait if you aren’t there early enough. That being said, the length of the wait usually is manageable.

Cute little place near Kits beach. Delicious breakfasts and the server was friendly and attentive. Good portions, hearty like a diner, and the hash browns are amazing. Will definitely come back.

Pleasant little brunch place with some lovely outdoor seating. Good coffee and some more unusual brunch options, eg pulled pork eggs bennie. Blueberry pancakes are spot on. Crispy bacon. Lovely, friendly service.

This place must have been here for 30+ years. Great location and good food. The service was a bit lacking the day we were there.

Warm atmosphere great for breakfast/brunch. Our host was helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious. Will come back here again.
