Café 22

Found this cute and quaint cafe through Yelp. It was a really nice change of pace for lunch after driving for over an hour.

Ordered a cappicola panini and london fog. Both were excellent. The soft music in the background was very relaxing and transported me away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Enjoyed speaking with the sweet lady from Romania and the service overall was friendly. I would be here weekly if I worked or lived in Waterloo.

I've been wanting to go to this cafe for so long after reading the reviews. Let's say, I was not disappointed. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance and atmosphere chick and relaxing . I love the decor and furniture. The prices are reasonable.
The only bad thing is that I went late as they were closing the kitchen, so I couldn't have a meal. I ordered Chai Tea Latte and Apple Spice Bread ? I think.... . The Chai Latte was nice and hot but it could have more tea taste than milky but the fact that it was hot made-up for everything. I am planning to go back soon and taking my friend with. I can see myself coming here all the time

If you want to go to Paris without leaving Waterloo come to Cafe 22. It’s on King and the cutest cafe in the city. Lots of coffees, teas and pastries. Also sandwiches and soups. All the pastries are real and homemade. Cute French music played while sipping coffee and watching the street.

Hidden gem inside the Uptown Waterloo Area! Got the Cuban sandwich and it was amazing. The ambience with the assortment of pastries made the visit superb and worthy of a return.

Staff is super friendly and helpful and the place is also large enough for groups of 4 or more. I would say it can get busy on Sundays around brunch but overall has a decent crowd of students and professionals livings in KW.

The pastries are the reason I can and they go have everything from muffins to cinnamon buns. We got a croissant and what looks like a donut (can’t remember the name but it was delicious and not as heavy as a donut :)

In summary, great place for dates, conversations, or just Sunday coffee!

Café 22 is a classy, cozy café with good tasting and beautifully crafted coffee, tea, and desserts. Everything I've gotten here has looked and tasted great while being reasonably priced. The chocolate mousse is a must-try! The lattes are also my favorite.

Daniela is the sweetest. She remembers frequent customers and is so friendly to talk to. She makes all the food in-store, and adds a touch of love to every meal. The cafe is perfect for dates, business meetings, or a gathering with friends. The Chai Latte paired with any sandwich or wrap is my personal recommendation.

My immediate impression of this place was a warm victorian style. Service was professional, pleasant, and polite. The prices for food, drinks, and dessert are quite fair. I believe everything is made on site as everything I had was fresh and tasty. There is table service as they will bring what you ordered out to your table. This spot is perfect for a date night. The decor is classical, yet beautiful and the food complements it well. It's great to impress your date without breaking the bank.

Great tea and coffee! They offer good selection of pastries and desserts that look delicious. Will have to try them next time. Location is good and my bus stop stops right in front of the café.

I frequent this spot often and it's a very nice cozy study spot near UW. The owner is always so nice and accommodating, there are outlets available, and the coffee and paninis are great. Customers talking here can be a bit loud so bring noise-cancelling headphones if you prefer to work in silence.

Great place for a nice lunch - my sandwich was delicious! And taking dessert home for later… so many yummy options I had a hard time picking.

Such a pretty, cozy place. If it were up to me, I'd be down here all the time! Everyone's so sweet and the food and drinks are lovely.

Lovely old school vibe, great coffee and food; the women here are the real stars! We were served very warmly and I’m going to return to this sweet place 👯‍♀
