Cute cafe with very good service. The desserts are excellent (lemon raspberry cake!). The drinks and food are good. There is a little patio out back.

Place your order at the counter and pay. You are given a number marker and can sit wherever you want - food and drinks will be brought to you.

Really nice cafe. Ordered french toast & breakfast burrito with Mocha Coffee. Loved it! Very calm atmosphere and the ladies do their best to make sure everything is made to perfection. The baked goods looked amazing I'll be sure to try them next time I visit the town. God is good enjoy the food & stay blessed!

This place exceeded expectations! This is the perfect spot to come on a slow afternoon when you’re looking for a nice relaxing lunch, or place to unwind and snack.

They know what they’re doing when it comes to baked goods. Ordered the signature breakfast sandwich and it was perfectly balanced with flavour. The toppings were generous but not too much, same with the sauce portion everything was perfect. I also ordered a lemon meringue square and london fog which was also delicious. Everything I had was fresh, fluffy, and flavourful!

The vibe is also so cute and cozy. They have cozy reading chairs that swivel that would be perfect to read a book or catch up with a friend. Even the plates and cutlery are all beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Order in and stay for a while you won’t be disappointed!

UPDATE: came back to try the rhubarb meringue and it was heavenly 🙌🏻

Great cafe! Was here with a group of friends. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

The food… well it’s top-notch as well. I had the Chipotle Bacon Breakfast Burrito with a side of breakfast potatoes. I also learned that amazing tastes happen when you ask for “the sauce”, which is chipotle sauce mixed with their signature sauce aka “sweet potato fries sauce”.

An amazing find that is close to Waterloo Uni.

The food is hearty, good quality home made and the staff are very friendly.

carrot cake here is fantastic and the rest of the baked goods in the case look incredible too! the customer service here is also very good. the only downside is that because the cafe is so popular, it can get very loud.

Tiny gorgeous cafe, very cozy. The treats and sweets are very delicious and well priced. I will try their breakfast the next time I go, cinnamon bun, brownie, apple strudel muffin, and blueberrie cake were all to die for. (Edit: went back for a breakfast, ended up getting a turkey cranberry sandwich with a cappuccino , very, very good)

The last time I went there, I was greeted by a wonderful staff who served me a delicious sample of their menu. I started the meal with an espresso shaker, one of their signature drinks - a delightful fusion of chilled perfection, the trifecta blend of milks created a creamy, yet invigorating base for the bold, energizing shots of espresso!
The yoghurt parfait only added refreshing combination
- layering a velvety vanilla yoghurt with crunchy granola and fresh fruit, the parfait created a delightful, healthy indulgence with every mouthful! Paired with a dairy-free and gluten-free almond butter caramel bar that had just the right amount of sweetness, the meal was utterly wholesome and filling, greatly uplifting my mood.
Covenant Cafe is more than a place to have a great coffee; it's a heartwarming, fulfilling experience that combines culinary excellence with a purpose-driven mission, making it a true gem in the community. Should you find yourself in Waterloo craving a good coffee or pastry, a visit here is highly recommend to fulfil both, your hunger and altruistic spirit!

We have come here MANY times and will keep coming! Our favourite little cafe. A little jaunt from our house with the best iced coffee and even better staff. We are always greeting with a smile and everyone is so sweet! My son remembered about them offering him a treat for his birthday and asked all week about it! They even remembered when we came in. Definitely an amazing place and if you're considering it? Do it! Oh and the food? SO GOOD!

I was so excited to try this place out and it did not disappoint. I would say it exceeded my expectations! The quality of the food is unreal - see the photo for reference, but trust that I was instantly impressed with the quality. It was delicious! I got the chipotle breakfast burrito with a side of potatoes and I got their mocha peppermint seasonal drink. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and clean. The service was very friendly and calm, despite it being a busy Saturday morning. So impressed!

the food was delicious, staff were so friendly, the environment was welcoming to families and all ages. 10/10, would recommend to anyone (even my coffee to go was delicious). Everything was reasonably priced, tasty, and I had a lovely time. I will be returning!

Cute cafe with a nice atmosphere and friendly service. Came here on a reading date and the swivel chair seating near the back was very comfortable. It did get loud around lunch time but that's to be expected as it was quite busy! During off-peak hours I'm sure it's a great place to study or do work :). Would come again to try more menu items!

First time trying out Covenant Cafe this past Saturday. My cold brew iced tea (peach) was delicious. I personally prefer it over refreshers at Starbucks. My chipotle chicken panini was perfect. All the staff are super friendly. Definitely would come back!

Just what Waterloo needed, a great restaurant serving amazing breakfast. It's so cute and clean run by a great group of young ladies. The Breakfast burritos and bowl are both fantastic and the fresh baking is heavenly 😋.

First time going to this cafe and it’s amazing!! The atmosphere is completely different from what the previous restaurant looked like, feels so open and bright now. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I got the Southwest Veggie Wrap and it was so tasty! Definitely recommend going here!

This is a very nice, calm environment in which to meet for a coffee, dessert, lunch. We stopped in for coffee and a bite mid afternoon and decided on the bacon, herb and cheese scone. It was really good, moist and flavourful. The dessert case was very, very tempting! Maybe on our next visit, after lunch.

On another note, having ice water available is a nice touch. I was surprised that there were only plastic cups for it and, on the same note, plastic stir sticks... I hope to see a change to a more environmentally friendly utensil set up in future visits.

We have found our new favourite place! Everything was amazing. We order some kids breakies, breakfast burrito, baked goods and ice latte. Loved the complimentary lemon water that is available to grab anytime to free up the servers to do other things. Our kids also loved the games available to play at the table. Price point was fantastic and reasonable! One of the best Lattes I've ever had. Hashbrowns were delicious. Everyone was so cheery and kind. Hope this place sticks around for the longhaul, an absolute gem to the community!

My wife and I came here for brunch one day. The staff was very friendly, the food was good (free refills on the coffee) and the cafe was beautiful.

My wife and I heard about this café on facebook and knew we had to come check it out. I ordered the signature breakfast sandwich with potatoes and a coffee, my wife had the yogurt parfait and we shared a pumpkin spice cinnamon roll. Everything was fantastic. From the music that they played to the overall decorum, they have such a special little café.
