My son has been practising karate and truly loves his time here. Trevor is a patient and amazing teacher!

I have long experience in different martial arts.
When I found Sensei Trevor Ishmael's "Yamato Karate Academy" I've been very happy. I found a place to practice my first choice in martial arts - Shotokan Karate!
Sensei Trevor is the best teacher EVER. He is good with adults and kids.
Highly recommend the Academy for people who really want to learn. Sensei Trevor has the knowledge and practice to teach you.

We have been lucky enough to be part of Yamato Karate Academy close to 10 years now (myself as well but mostly my child). Being critical person I usually have some constructive criticism but not this time. They took my weak child and found a way to build her skills, strength and confidence. Sensei is very patient, great at explaining and doesn’t shy away from giving 1:1 help if he sees the need.

My son and I have been students for 4 or 5 years now, and Sensei Trevor has proven to be one of the most kind hearted, patient and wise person I've met. It has been an honor to learn from him and the other students.

After 4 years of practice, we can attest to high quality and consistent training. Our child has grown in strength and discipline and enjoys being part of a fun and supportive karate family
