This cute little cafe is absolutely delightful! They are tucked in the Oceanfront Resort, with a dreamy view of the water. They serve not only tarts, but mouthwatering soups and sandwiches.

I had a delightful experience at the dessert shop with a mesmerizing sea view. The combination of delectable cakes and aromatic coffee made for an unforgettable visit.

The cakes were a true treat for the taste buds. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures, showcasing the skill and passion of the bakers. From rich chocolate to delicate fruit-infused options, the variety catered to every palate. The presentation was equally impressive, with artistic attention to detail that elevated the overall dining experience.

Fantastic experience as Elizabeth and I enjoyed the amazing tarts and coffee for a few days while in Sooke. We cannot wait to come back soon.

This cute little coffee shop made me the most amazing avocado toast with egg and salmon this morning. Kaitlyne gave exceptional customer service. Love the decor and vibe. Will definitely be back!

Our family of five tried four tarts: ube, banana brule, chocolate coconut and pecan. We cannot agree which one among them was the best, but we easily agreed that we haven’t eaten any dessert that comes close to these ones on this side of the Atlantic. It would be easy to call these works of art, but these borderline magic!
Looking forward to coming back and trying more of this food wizardry!

They may have changed the name, but the 1998 Pacific Northwest Bakers Association award winning Carrot Pie is still available. It’s not displayed on the menu, but ask April and she might fetch it for you from the back. Don’t miss out, I fly in from the states every year for this pie!!

Came here on opening day with my partner and it was so awesome! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and they have a ton of food options!

My partner ordered the lemon tart but ate it before I could get a picture! I had the vege panini (pictured) it was vegan as is, and so delicious!

We stayed a night in the Prestige Oceanfront Resort...Island Tarts is in their lobby. What an absolutely wonderful experience! Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I both had prosciutto and brie paninis...fabulous! This morning, I had a ham, brie and tomato croissant, done in the panini press, and a ham, cheese and onion quiche that was, hands down, the best quiche I have ever eaten. I had lattes both days, and they were perfect. The tables look out on the rest of the lobby, and we were thrilled that our dogs were able to sit with us while we people-watched and savoured our delicious meals. Milos, the co-owner, makes everything in-house, and he is an artist! We were made to feel completely welcome, by both he and Kristina, and we can't wait to go back!

Cleanliness, friendliness, attention to details with guests as well as food, varieties, everything home made, fresh and absolutely absolutely delicious!!!

An absolute gem! They make everything in-house and you can tell it’s made with love and care. Their tarts, paninis, and soup of the day was fantastic and the couple who runs it are so friendly. It’s inside the hotel and dog friendly.

The food & coffee here is so so so delicious, staff is very friendly, I highly recommend!

Came here today with my baby daughter for the first time! We came for a too good to go bag but bought a coffee, smoothie and savoury corn bread! All the food and beverages tasted great and at a reasonable price! The lady who was serving us was very attentive and really lovely! Will definitely be back when we are in the area!

My mom and I stopped in for coffees yesterday and we ended up walking away with our coffees and two of their Double Double Tartlet. We were advised to let the tarts sit at room temp for 20 minutes before consuming and it was worth the wait! I completely forgot to take a picture so I guess I'll just have to go back! The coffees were excellent and Island Tarts Cafe is definitely a stop that locals need to be visiting regularly and one that visitors should be adding to their "must visit" lists!

We had smoothies, smoked salmon bagels, and coffee. Everything here was excellent, much better than the restaurant on site. The person working here is also amazing, she was so friendly and accommodating! 10/10 a must stop if you are staying in Sooke.

Went for the lemon tart and they had two options! A toasted meringue lavender lemon and a plain lemon. I got the plain one this time and it was to die for!! Coffee is great and they have oat milk :)

The duo working is also super friendly and know exactly what’s in each item - helpful for people with food allergies like me.

Will be returning!

You guys are the best! Mango lemongrass tart is phenomenal. Service is the best of any place I've been.

Everything looked so delicious here. At the hotel, I couldn’t find anything for breakfast that’s gluten and dairy free so I went here. I got the dairy and gluten free muffin, it was so yummy! Such a lovely staff <3

These guys are very friendly 💞. Please try "take me to the beach smoothie and lemon tart", it is very addictive 🤤.
