Shaw Cafe & Wine Bar

I had a fantastic experience dining at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable, making it a great value. What really stood out was the exceptional staff; they were incredibly attentive and made our visit memorable. The restaurant's ambiance with its lovely decor added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area. It's a wonderful place to enjoy great food and top-notch service.

My fiance and I had dinner with a couple friends here. We all got fish and chips (per our server's suggestion) and found the serving size to be large. Additionally, the food was fantastic and our wine paired well with it. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant which was helpful because of a strobe-like effect coming from certain light fixtures being too close to ceiling fans above some of the seating arrangements. Staff were helpful and everything was provided in a timely fashion.

My fiance and one of our friends use a guide dog for visual aid and they were asked to provide proof of identification of service. This isn't typical but it's also not unreasonable. It's just something to keep in mind if someone were to forget that.

Lovely restaurant! Visited last summer in August with family and friends. The floral displays in front are gorgeous. There was no need to book a reservation at the time. I went up to the front and asked availability for lunch on the top balcony. Within minutes we are all seated at the top with a scenic view of downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. I had a pasta dish with a refreshing drink and both were excellent. Decent prices too! A nice atmosphere as well! A must visit when you are walking along downtown NOTL!

The burger and falafel roll were really good. Very nice portions. The sweet potato fries were nice, crispy and not too oily. Staff was very courteous. Recommended!

Beautiful Restaurant located in the Heart of NOTL. We stayed here for lunch on Sunday and the staff was friendly. Food came quick, fresh and HOT! We had : Garlic mussels, Burger meal, club sandwich meal & Fish & Chips. We also indulged in some Beer : Niagaras finest blonde ( Just like a Stella ) . Would definitely recommend trying this place if your looking for lunch/diner while enjoying everything Niagara On The Lake has to offer !

The customer service was excellent. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and very friendly.

The food was excellent, hot and fresh and well seasoned. The mayo with the onion rings is a real stand out.

The resturant reminds me of dining out in Paris. The style of the building and the vibe. Absolutely gorgeous and the flowers are just beautiful.

Our waitress was very helpful and the food and wine were delicious! We got the white flight and it was perfect.

A lovely location with one of the prettiest patios in the area.

It can get quite busy during peak hours, but is often empty at other times (which may be the best time to go).

The service is pleasant and quick.

The food is good (not amazing), but stick to the basics - think of it as a pretty pub, and avoid anything you don’t think would be made well at any local pub. Pricing is fair for the portion size.

Last minute drop in for a quick bite and friendly chat found this Cafe a good choice.
Terrace outdoor seating and menu and drinks service was snappy with a good selection of friendly note worthy selections.
Fish and Chips special day and hence my meal choice which was delivered with a side.
Upper terrace seating provided view of the Old Town street which added to the ambiance of the dinning.
Prices are reasonable, service was stellar and finally tally easy on the wallet.
A great choice for anyone.

Wonderful place with great food. Beautiful seating outdoor! Ordered rose wine, fish and chips, quiche, mussels, and onion rings. Wine was fairly priced and not so sweet, which was good. Quiche was amazing. The fish and chips and onion rings were wonderful as well. Mussels were great as well.
The vibe and the service was excellent.
I would give 4.5 stars if I can as the washroom was not clean.
In my opinion, this place would be good for young people and families as the serving size of food was very generous.

Very nice and beautiful place , and our waitress was one of nicest one .. we sat on patio and with all flowers it was very nice , all the foods we ordered was good and tasty , the portions are good and price is very good , for sure I'm going there next time again, if you're going to Niagra on the Lake highly recommend 😀

Lovely patio right by a little fountain and the statue of Shaw himself. Prettiest flowers in town. Friendly service and good food. Highly recommended!

We went there for a late lunch. The hostess and the waitress were very nice and helpful. We ordered pear and chicken salad, quiche, a glass of wine and a beer. Everything was delicious. Niagara Blond was perfect, cold and crisp, exactly what I needed on a super hot day. We set by the B. Shaw fountain which was very romantic. The salad was a nice portion, but could have had a piece of naan or toast or some fancy bread to go with it. The quiche was fresh and very tasty. Would always go back when in NOTL.

Delish food. Sauce with the steamed mussels was so yummy! Very friendly service. Pasta we got was also very tasty. Cool vibe. Outdoor patio, but it was full. Sat inside as opposed to the sunnier side, as it was a hot day. Larger patio is in the shade.

I was skeptical going into this place at first due to some of the reviews I have read. Maybe it was a bad time for the staff or the store was overcrowded and overwhelmed I don’t know. But for my experience

The service was great, the server was on top of everything, checked in at the right times and was overall very nice.

The food was good, I wasn’t expecting too much. Even though my expectations were low the food was surprisingly well made, I’ve had the house burger and my family had chicken wings, fish and chips and lasagna respectively. Those I would say were defined an easy pick and I would recommend those. The dessert was also better than I had expected as well so I would recommend it as well.

The atmosphere was great, the aesthetic of the building was with it’s surrounding was very pleasing. NOTL already is relatively quiet so it was an enjoyable experience for sure.

Unique round glass place named after Bernard Shaw with beautiful chandeliers, theatrical staircase, fresh growing flowers and best hot chocolate! My favorite coffee place in area now. Definitely recommend!

We truly enjoyed our experience at the Shaw Cafe and Wine Bar. The food was delicious. Our waiter Danny helped to make our experience exceptionally wonderful. He went out of his way to accommodate us. Thank you Danny for your prompt, courteous and friendly service and for making our visit fun.

An amazing and delicious place to eat before the show or while strolling the streets of Niagara-on-the Lake. Wine flights were a wonderful surprise!

Food taste great, serving size is ok for the price. Service was excellent.
