I really love the vibe here, It’s so beautiful and cozy! The mango sorbet was refreshing and full of flavor. The chocolate hazelnut affogato was absolutely delicious, un vrai coup de coeur!! 😍
I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great treat and great coffee.

Coffee tastes delicious. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. The Double Chocolate brownie was really yummy!

This coffee shop is a morning miracle! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. It's the perfect spot to start your day or catch up with friends. Once you taste their coffee and feel the welcoming vibe, you'll be hooked!

Excellent food and the great staff helped us to select the perfect drinks.

Really cute coffee shop nestled in hectic downtown Kitchener. The location is almost across the street from City Hall - we took our teas there and enjoyed taking a moment to relax in the Anorak chairs while we ate our cookie.

I tried the Cherry Rose Green Tea which was delicious. Hubby had the Earl Gray Tea. Both teas were very tasty.

We also tried the Ginger Cookie - yummy!

Good reviews on Google Maps lured me to this place, otherwise I probably wouldn't have come here. Their coffee is really excellent, and the ice cream was also very tasty, even if the selection is quite limited. The positives are the outdoor patio and nice decent staff. However, I find the design of the cafe so impersonal, cold.

loved this place! i tried the spinach artichoke brioche and the iced chai and i was very happy with both. lots of spaces to work, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. i’ll definitely come back ☺

Finally, a café in KW where I think everything is perfect! It's a cozy and bright place with nice decorations. The coffee smells so good, and the packaged beans I take home are as good as the coffee I have in the cafe.
In my experience, their lattes and desserts are never overly sweet, which is great. The gelatos are absolutely tasty and their flavors are natural and refreshing.

The staff are always friendly and helpful without trying too hard to look friendly, which is another thing I love about this place. The café is usually quiet, making it an ideal place for reading. However, seating options may be limited depending on the time of visit.

Big recommend! Everything was delish and it’s location in downtown Kitchener overlooks the busy street. The patio is a big plus. It’s only going to get cooler because of the bookstore opening next door!

Experienced baristas, very good espresso beverages, tasty food items and desserts, cousy casual ambiance.

It's one of the few good spots in KW where you can enjoy a fine crafted espresso beverage.

Cappuccino was balanced, steamed milk was made well, and the froth was rich and creamy.

Another day, trying flat white. Consistent quality and rich taste.

The cheesecake tasted amazing & the staff was courteous. I would definitely recommend this place!

What a quaint little shop. Had a peppermint mocha latte and a tiramisu. Both were excellent. Service was great as well as atmosphere. I was lucky to find parking right across the street.

Quick visit, and the flat white was excellent and balanced, and the carrot cake absolutely hit the spot. Was pleasantly surprised to find the place still quite busy and vibrant with patrons at 4 pm in the afternoon, and I suspect that has much to do with the cozy and comfortable atmosphere. While the roadworks outside might make the spot a little challenging to easily reach, it is worth the bit of effort to park on a side street and visit. Very enjoyable all around

Matter of Taste has been a staple cafe in our community. Bringing in community members from all over the region into the downtown core to connect over their variety of Espresso drinks , in house pastries and ice cream . Walk away with their roasted blends and different coffee making kits from their retail corner. Within easy access to all downtown amenities. The owners and baristas alike are super welcoming and friendly to new and regular customers alike! 5-stars for the coffee and customer service.

Phenomenal little cafe. The coffee is good, the espresso is fresh, and the treats are unique and delicious. This place is somewhat of a community hub, although, space is limited. Staff are super friendly as well.

Their coffee is so good I ended up buying a pack of their beans! The one I tasted (and ended up buying a pack) was called Traveller's and I drank it as a hot americano. I also loved their presentation (how they put much less water than usual like in Europe so the coffee can taste deeper, plus their cup, etc.) making it hands-down my best coffee in Canada! Part of my appreciation might have been due to the sub-par experience (or disgust, more exactly) that I had to endure previously at a McDonald's (which usually is above average), but who cares. Their coffee was good and I was so happy to be able to sip it somewhere else than in Europe!

Matter of taste has been around a while and for a good reason. Everything is done well. The coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is lovely.

The baristas are really sweet and the menu options are amazing. I especially like the atmosphere, lots of outlets and bright natural night from the window makes this place ideal to get some study/work done. They do charge a fee if your bill is <$5 and you pay with a credit card though, but I find that to be common anyways.

Friendly staff. Nice coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. And very reasonably priced compared to everywhere else. Never disappointed. My new go to cafe downtown.
